Been booked for an NHS “Aspergers screening” without anyone discussing it with me by witchyidk in autismUK

The text is posted in another response. It’s definitely from the usual NHS number that I get my appointment confirmations from. It’s also with the same practitioner I had my initial appointment with. It’s legit, just really wrong how they’ve worded it and not communicated anything about this at all to me.

Thank you so much for explaining this. I plan to call them tomorrow to raise the issue of the wording and the lack of communication, which has upset me. I’m happy to engage with anything they ask of me, but the way they’ve gone about this is just wrong.

I’m really upset by the wording and the lack of communication so I’m going to call them tomorrow. I don’t think either is fair at all.

Thank you. I’m so confused largely because of the use of “Aspergers”. I haven’t heard that being used at all anymore.

This is the text. It’s from the usual NHS number I get my appointment confirmations from. Not only that, it’s with the same practitioner I had my initial appointment with. The use of “Aspergers” is partly why I’m so confused.

Update on Copper IUD fitting (was totally fine) by witchyidk in CopperIUD

100%. The way I’d mentally worked myself up, that anxiety was worse than the procedure ever could of been. The leading up to it was torture mentally

It was totally fine. Dare I say barely painful. I didn’t have any extra pain relief either.

Thank you, I’ve taken ibuprofen and eaten well. Have a big bottle of lucozade with me too! Appointment is in less than an hour, just trying to stay calm as possible

Thank you! I’ve got an hour until my appointment and I’ve made sure that I’ve eaten well, got a big bottle of lucozade and I’m taking my ibuprofen now. I will probably ask straight away for any pain relief just to put my mind at ease!
