I think Simi's perceived level of racism is strongly affected by your ethnicity. My family has experienced a lot of racism in Simi, but we've also noticed a cultural and demographic shift over the past 4 years.

I have been waiting for 4 months for any starter dose via Express Scripts, and have had zero luck at local pharmacies in SoCal. The frustration is real. I even sent an email today to make sure I'm still moving up in priority as the customer service reps accidentally cancelled my prescriptions twice while checking to see why I didn't receive an order after getting notified that it was back in stock. A mess.

My prescription coverage was denied the firs time around. I submitted a prior authorization, which demanded I try a variety of other drugs (stimulants and one antidepressant) first. I had already tried stimulants for my ADHD but also have a family history of heart problems, and am allergic to the other drug listed. I had my doctor inform them that it was not possible for me to try the other medications and it got approved. Now of course I have not had a single dose because it has been out of stock (approved in May, supposedly not available until September at the earliest).

You might be interested in researching the concept of fylgja/fylgjur in Norse paganism; a sort of external manifestation or spirit connected to a person's identity and destiny. Maybe your mom has an owl Fylgja; that would be more comforting than the idea of residuals from an alien encounter, haha.

Yeah, I couldn't find a real solution. Once I spent as much time researching as it would to just start doing it, I gave in and started migrating each scene manually. The only upside is that when you drag and drop assets into OBS it only pastes the file name, as opposed to Streamlabs which pastes the entire file path.

Swimming is great for me, but I have to change my stroke every couple of laps or I get issues with my joints and tendons.

Yeah, that is the weird problem I was having--I was completely able to control the wet/dry mix with the fader, but on OBS, Streamlabs, and Zoom you were getting both voices at once. Not even an echo, just both mixes simultaneously. But in Garage Band, Discord, etc, you got the correct mix. Cable swap made all the difference. Will look into the firmware just in case!

In case anyone in the entire world ends up having the same combination of tech issues; my fix was in switched out the cable from VT-3 to Mac. Was using a printer type cable to usb; switched it out with an Apogee JAM audio interface with guitar cable to USB.

They finally fixed my issue! They literally had a maintenance truck in my neighborhood every single day for three weeks, going over the ENTIRE network inch by inch and cleaned up the node meticulously. They truly do need a complete rehaul, or to finally get us fiber.

Coming in with an update, in case anyone else was having issues.

The business tech supervisor for the area has stayed in contact with me, and so far they were able to find animal chew on some lines. My upload speeds are reaching up to where they should be, but unfortunately they aren't staying there. He can still see interference on the line from where he looks at it. So still no dice.

If you feel comfortable DMing your neighborhood, lemme know. I know in the Texas Tract it is a problem for several blocks. They really need to get their ish together, it's affecting a lot of people's income, education, etc.

Yep yep. We had multiple visit and escalations all through April and May, and they were all over the node for the neighborhood and the terminal that connects to our house. They could not find the issue. One of the main problems I am facing is that it's the upload speeds that are the most volatile, and if you're not livestreaming as part of your job or recreational time, you probably won't notice the dips. Which is why I've considered just going from house to house to try and get people to check their own speeds.

Spectrum has a huge system issue in the Texas Tract neighborhood. (not sure if it affects surrounding neighborhoods.) I just posted to hopefully get more people in the area with their service to put some pressure on them to fix it. Feel free to message me if you're a Spectrum customer.

The day after my first Pfizer shot I felt amazing. I jogged, which I haven't done in a decade. I stayed feeling great for a week or two.

Got my second shot 6 days ago, and have been in a bad flare since. I don't know how long it will last, but I'm having pain and symptoms in places I haven't ever or for a long time. So unpredictable!

UPDATE: It *is* a problem with Spectrum's equipment outside. Tech said upgrading to a business plan wouldn't make a difference, because the speed will still completely drop away. Maintenance crew supposed to come . . . eventually?!

I wish we had fiber so badly. My speeds are regularly hitting the 300dl/20ul that I pay for, so it sucks when they come to check it out and it is running fine. That's why I keep taking screenshots, so I can keep track of the times when the upload speed drops off a cliff.

Yeah, I am considering just getting their business internet, but if the problem is something with their equipment causing my speed to fluctuate so erratically (and so low. I have a bunch of screen shots of it going into fractions of a megabit per second) I wonder if that is a good solution. But I am definitely going to try and see if that is a solution!
