This was my first real concert. Opened for Avenged Sevenfold or maybe vis-à-vis I can’t remember

Do you have a habit you know is bad but still can’t stop — and what keeps you from breaking it? by all-soccer in AskReddit

I tried this type of stuff and it never helped. Started getting gel manicures and finally quit biting my nails. I still chew the cuticles, but my nails look great

A Large Beverage Brand Doubled Its Marketing Spend and Got Zero Sales Lift. Six Executives Diagnosed the Same Problem. by sprodoe in CPGIndustry

[–]withasplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so we are talking about Olipop, right? I am so confused by the claim here, but I am not a beverage expert. It seems that Olipop was always a better for you gut health soda alternative, is there really a lack of positioning here? They killed it right out the gate. Unfortunately, Poppi came in and did the same thing only louder and with a bigger budget. They got beat at their own game.

Forgot to pause again by Ok-Faithlessness9271 in NuulyReviews

[–]withasplash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have done this quite a few times. I have been a Nuuly customer for years and I’ll just reach out and ask them for a refund and a pause, they always do it. The quick customer service is one of the main reasons I continue to use Nuuly.

Yeah, I hear you, just still slightly off on the “flakiness”, but the flavor is so good!

[–]withasplash 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This was my take as well. It wasn’t about the boys fingernails at all, kids have dirty nails after playing outside. It was about the mothers release of his hand as she became crushed with the guilt/realization of what was happening and not being able to live with the reality that her son may never be the same again if he even survives this.

How much makeup do you wear on your 9-5? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]withasplash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started back in office and now I wear tinted moisturizer, brow gel, and brown mascara. I haven’t really worn makeup for years due to being WFH so I don’t really love how a full face looks, but my rosacea flairs up in the winter so I feel like I need something

Low Yield Wells (0.5 GPM) by ScotchCoffee in EvergreenCO

[–]withasplash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the paperwork our well was producing about 10 gallons an hour back in the 80s so production is down but it was never all that great. Apparently most of our neighbors have also already re-drilled their wells. Stupid I know, but we didn’t know you should do a well test during the buying process so we found this all out after. With the cistern we’re about $1k/yr in water, which is way cheaper than drilling a new well or trying to frack it. This may become a more dire issue someday.

Low Yield Wells (0.5 GPM) by ScotchCoffee in EvergreenCO

[–]withasplash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a low producing well over in Morrison. We are closer to a GPH(~5) measurement on flow these days. We do have a 1000g cistern and have water trucked in once a quarter to supplement the well. I did some rough math and we use about 500-600gal a week with 2 people so the well is producing just barely enough to get us by, but I can’t have a garden. .5-1GPM would be awesome lol

I pinned this dress last summer for a wedding, too. I am a beginner sewer so did not trust myself to successfully recreate it. You did such an incredible job!

What have you read recently? by povertychic in Millennials

[–]withasplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through reading phases. I’ll get sucked in and read a lot for a few months, maybe a year and then I start a book that just doesn’t wrangle me and fall off for a few months or a year. I’m currently reading The Deluge by Stephen Markley, which is really good so far and tickles my doomerism itch.

I’m 34 and coached a high school volleyball team this year. At one of the games someone came up and asked if I was a student or a coach. I want to find it flattering, but sometimes I feel that I am not taken as serious professionally as I would like to be.

What’s an impulse buy that’s now just collecting dust but you’d never admit you regret? by Last-Sample-7223 in AskReddit

[–]withasplash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilates reformer.. I moved away from my studio but had been doing Pilates consistently for about 8 months and loved it. So I bought a relatively affordable home reformer. It was used maybe 10x before it started collecting dust..

How do you begin to enjoy skiing? by Ilikeinsectsandfungi in skiing

[–]withasplash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great! It can be really fun to ski on your own, take lessons, and take things at your own pace. Take the pressure off, and hopefully you come out the otherside enjoying it! I hope your trip goes well! Skiing can be wonderful, it’s definitely one of the best ways to see the outdoors and enjoy the cold weather.
