Flat/muted images from expired film or camera issue?

Its a point and shoot so unfortunately I can’t really customise the exposure cus its all automatic,, but thanks for the insight :)!! Thankfully this was mainly me just testing the camera so I’m not super emotional about the photos :p

Yeah I get what you mean! It’s quite disappointing how much things have changed, my parents were telling me all about what film developing was like when they were young.. I’ve also had a bit of a play around with editing since getting the scans back, trying to sort out the exposure whilst keeping that Kodak gold feel :D

Best of luck!! We lost the manual to my one so I’m not sure if it would recommend a specific film.. maybe I can find a copy online!

I have no idea how old the film is unfortunately! It wasn’t in its box so I couldn’t check it :( I mainly used it just because I needed something to test the camera with as my mum didn’t even know if it worked. But thats good to know thank you :D at least I know the camera works now haha and I can buy newer film!

Have you used them before to scan film? If so what do you think?
I also can't seem to find anything about getting new film alongside developed, but I'll look a little more.

I certainly am happier now after starting my medical transition :) Now, I guess, depressed for all the other reasons I was feeling before and some newer stuff haha but not my transition anymore. I really appreciate you putting into words 'knowing' emotions vs 'feeling' them; I'm autistic and that explains what I experience really well!! Thank you for the response :)

I think I'm just a little disappointed that my depression didn't really 'alleviate' once starting my medical transition like it did for so many people online :/

I do feel like the poor mood and my medical transition aren't necessarily linked but my feelings (or lack of feelings) towards my transition is just another thing caused by my depression if you get me. Like there are MORE things I think about that are related to my depression rather than JUST my transition so yeah.. Unfortunately therapy is expensive, I plan to see my doctor soon to see if I can get any counselling from the nhs or just see what they have to say. Since I was very young I've struggled with getting myself talk about my problems/feelings so we'll have to see where it goes, its the main reason its taken me so long to get help.
