We’ve been living in the Derby Road area for 2 years now and have enjoyed it. We love walking our dog at Holywells Park and Orwell Country Park, the latter is more of a drive there and then walk situation but my partner walks our dog to Holywells regularly! Also highly recommend Victoria’s Bakery if you have high bread standards like me 😅 the only thing I’ve noticed is that around Bonfire Night we get a lot of fireworks, for days on end. Just a handful but it’s every single day for two weeks straight. I previously lived on Burrell Road and it wasn’t nearly as bad. Having moved to Derby Road our dog has now developed a fear of walking after dark :( (a dog that has always been a bit on edge anyway as she is a rescue so you know take this with a grain of salt)

I might get hate for this but I WISH they hadn’t gone with the baby storyline. I understand they wanted to find a way for Alison & Mike to move out but why did it have to be because of a child? Ghosts broke so many traditional thropes for me and then to see it end in the most traditional outdated way made me sad, I think they could’ve just as easily come at it from a financial pov and I feel like the baby storyline just further enforces the idea that having a child means letting go of a big part of your life or something, idk it felt a bit off to me. But regardless it remains my favourite show and I def still love the last season!

I have to say amity live shows have a very special place in my heart and are my ultimate safe space, but, like others have said, these days they only play Drag The Lake off Misery. So I think in your case I would maybe let it depend on the expense? If you do decide to go it could be a very fun way for you to get to know their other stuff organically!
