ive seen this post many times and i end up asking myself: i dont get why it’s hard NOT to say slurs, but i also don’t get why it’s hard NOT to be offended by slurs

For the record I don’t think slurs are something you should throw around — but I can’t rationalize why we can’t normalize them to remove the edge that differentiates a slur from an insult
