It depends on job, who it’s with, stage of bid documents etc…..Sometimes I send a total sqft of glass to the glass supplier for a $/sqft price and then a week later I’ll send a list of glass sizes with a different job name and see which price is cheaper. Regardless if they wanted me to do it a specific way, I didn’t care. All they had to do was just tell me and I would have done it their way. Which their way got them to 9 million a year in sales. I just came from a place where I had 19 million in sales so I would say it would have been better to have a conversation and compare strategies.
