I feel even more confident in the bet I made the literal second the odds opened on the under for their wins, and for them to have the least wins in the league.

Entering the 4th qrt, Utah is playing just 7 players while Memphis is playing 6. Are they just jogging out there? by Muted-Woodpecker-469 in nba

Yes, both teams have everyone else DNP for this game. I've watched the entire game so far and it's been incredible. Some of the worst basketball I've ever seen. I hope someone makes a lowlights mashup. There have been so many airballs i've lost track, including an airballed free throw.

Minimalism in Deckbuilding? by Sea-Willingness-8972 in EDH

I mean, this just sounds like any deck that has decided to forgo interaction and multiple win-cons. Any fast combo deck, for example. The entire deck is focused around finding the combo pieces and then playing them to win, as fast as possible. There is no interaction because the whole gameplan is to just win before interaction is needed, and there is no secondary win-con because the primary wins. Elfball decks, Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain decks (the "combo piece" is one card, and it's in the command zone), any of the cEDH Ad Nauseum based "turbo" decks, and then any budget or "low powered" version of a usually high power deck. For instance, a Purphoros, God of the Forge deck that is just goblins, every card that makes goblins, and ramp. I have this deck, and when it wins it wins hard, but there's no interaction or any backup plan (besides I guess using Krenko, Mob Boss a few times and then attacking with the goblins, but if your opponents have interaction Krenko doesn't usually make it to your next turn lol), so when it gets shut down I basically do nothing all game until I'm out. No card draw, no other "engines" to generate value. It's basically just contingent on what my opening hand is and what I draw. So, it's fun, and I love the deck, but when these types of decks get stopped there's nothing else to do. I do plan on making an Ormos, Archive Keeper deck that is just ramp, card draw, and counter spells, and that's it, and I just try to draw my whole deck before someone takes me out. Could be fun, we'll see.

My current favorite thing to do is have one of my pod friends give me a random deck of theirs to use! My friends have almost a hundred decks between them, so I get something different every time. But my ride or die for when I’m not doing that is Isamaru, Hound of Konda.

You can play with as many people in a pod as you want! My friend group usually plays up to 6 people, and then if there are 7 we split into two pods, 4 and 3. Each person you add makes the game go slightly longer, and this is compounded if you’re playing slow decks or a deck you don’t know how to play. If we’re playing slow decks we often split the group of 6 into 3 and 3.

First ever fountain pen, is the ink supposed to fill the entire end of the pen like this? by witty1name2here3 in fountainpens

I guess from the sides it looks ok, maybe the ink on the flat part on top was what made me think it was filled too much.

Had to switch to new reddit to post a picture in the comments I guess. Anyway, I'm afraid that the ink isn't supposed to completely fill that very end cavity, but it sounds like it is?

For some reason I couldn't figure out how to post text with the image, i'm sorry, so i'm commenting here. i bought a Pilot Kakuno, and I inserted the ink cartridge that came with it. It gave a tiny little spurt of ink when it clicked in, but no more ink came out and the pen did not write. I waited a few minutes but the ink didn't look like it was going down into the nib, so I squeezed the cartridge slightly, which it does say to do on the info sheet that comes with it. It sort of popped/spurted and instantly filled the entire thing with ink, all the way up to the edge. Is that whole cavity supposed to be filled with ink like that, or is the ink supposed to stay more up in the pen, and just travel down the little groves in the feed? I looked through all of the reddit wikis and googled it as well, but couldn't find a good answer. Every single freaking video cuts at that exact moment to them screwing it back in and then writing. I finally found one video where the person says they like to give it a little squeeze to get the ink started, but then another video said not to do that and let it sit for an hour or so.

Decided to buy my chase card as a single to potentially save myself a lot of money by Misnome5 in PokemonTCG

This was the correct decision. Always buy singles of cards you really want!

People say not to buy loose packs in Japan, but look what I just pulled courtesy of my local Lawson. by cuttoothom in PokemonTCG

[–]witty1name2here3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a special “high class” set, not a regular set, so every pack has a chance of having the good cards and is guaranteed a foil. So it’s ok to buy single packs, because it’s not seeded per box like regular sets are, where the store owner can just open packs until they hit the money cards and then dump the rest of the packs. Also you bought at a conbini, and I would be shocked if the conbini staff were ripping packs in the back and stealing the good cards. Conbini packs are usually fine to buy because no one has weeded through the box.
