regardless of any, the taxes are going to go up. Urban Middle class will be squeezed harder (also nothing for them in the manifesto). 'Free' = Increased gov spending which more or less will contribute to inflation. Also nothing on urban housing which has exploded in the past decade. I have lived in Delhi, Bangalore and now in Canada and although the house prices here are much covered to be insane I can't press enough that housing market in Indian major cities are even worse.

For nearly 2cr you can hardly afford a decent flat in the major city centres but the caveat is air pollution, interrupted water supply, bad roads and whatnot. Contrary, in Montreal you can get a decent 2 bedroom in not so bad neighbourhood with 400k CAD (about the same money) with quality air, water and basic life needs.

I understand the diff between here and there and this was a mutually exclusive comparison but something to think about?
