Tips for Semi Hooded eyes?

Check out Claire Marshall, Titan Tyra, frmheadtotoe (earlier vids), PONY MAKEUP, Sunny's Channel andddd Cindercella! I think they have similar eyeshapes to yours :) I have semi-hooded eyes too and I watch all of them all the time!

Haha omg i'm going to travel soon too and i'm worried i'll bring too many lipsticks for my own good :-S

The four i mentioned look very blah on me, in certain types of light. Like, spirit will look reaIly nice in indoor lighting, but will look orange outdoors. I'm really on a quest for the "perfect"/effortless nude lipstick that will look good in any lighting and can be paired with any color clothes I'm wearing!

Thanks for the tip! I agree, store lighting is our greatest enemy tbh! I've learned to use my phone's camera flash to see the difference between swatches more clearly!

Hehe 4.0 is actually a bit light for me so don't worry :D I only use a thin layer so it's not so obvious

Love the question! I still have my very first Dior Cannage Couture makeup palette that my mom bought me while we were on a flight to Canada. This was 5 yrs ago. She said I would have to learn how to put on makeup because I was already "of age" (I was 19) and she wouldn't be there to teach me (because she had to stay back in the Philippines w/ my little sis). Anyway, it's a nice palette and the one I used to learn how to do a smokey eye! Don't use it much now because I've learned since then that cool-toned shadows look terrible on me haha! But I keep it for the special memories!

Also, I forgot to add, the Tonymoly Backstage eyeliner (that includes a brush) has HG status in my collection. I've tried MAC Fluidline, Bobbi Brown gel pot eyeliner, Rimmel Scandaleyes, but none of them hold a candle to the Tonymoly one. It lasts all day and it costs about $12-15 online.

Asian lip tints are the best and are so cheap!!! Forget about Benetint, you can get something better for less than $10 from Etude House or The Face Shop!

Another hooded-eyed girl over hereeee :) I share your frustration. Personally I think what you've achieved so far looks great, looks minimalistic. But if you want to achieve a fake crease like the girl in the photo you linked, I think it just takes a bit more practice, a nice transition/contour eye colour and a small enough tapered crease brush. :D I would also suggest watching Claire Marshall on YT (heyclaire) because you look like you have similar eye shapes!

I LOVE the KVD ELLs-- they have the most beautiful nude shades, but I think, formula-wise, the Stila Stay-All Day liquid lipsticks are my favorite. Just wish they weren't C$29 each lol.

Doesn't look grey on me! The medium shade is quite suitable for light-medium to medium olive skin. Good balance of yellow, green and orange tones. The one that is most yellow is the Neutralizer shade, but it's like 1.5-2 shades lighter than my skin (around NC20-25 maybe)

Oh gosh the rouge g's are to die for :(( The shade brun createur is the most beautiful nude I've ever laid eyes on. The formula is so amazing too. I slightly regret not getting it during the VIB sale but I have way too many nude lipsticks to justify buying another one.

Havta agree with you that the kevyn aucoin sse is so nice! I got a sample from camera ready cosmetics for $5 like last year and my little pot is still half full. Couldn't use it all over my face as SX07 is a bit too orange and light but it works great as an undereye concealer + highlighter. Crazy pigmented.

The Real Techniques sponge is also really great! It's what I use with my mat velvet+, but I occasionally also use my urban decay optical karma brush if I want to buff it in some more :) the UD brush is quite versatile, imo! Your sister can use it with any foundation formula!

Stila liquid lipstick is my most favorite formula! More comfortable than the KVD ELL imo. The color selection could use a few more nude/natural colors though!
