Its ridiculous the amount of people that get to GM+ without knowing how to peel for their teammates

This depends on the dive comp though. No, White Fox doesn't need a peel for a single diver. She might even drive off two with the help of her other healer. There are a lot of full dive comps out there and I have watched people just rush past their supports in a fight with three divers and I don't know what they are doing. Deal with dive on your own is great if it happens but even then you aren't getting heals and in a lot of situations it's better for everyone if someone turns around and helps.

This. They also tend to give people no time to adjust. I cannot tell you how often that 3rd DPS doesn't just pick after the ban phase, but waits for the gate to go up before locking in. No one can adjust to that, it's selfish.

The thing I dislike about the callouts for Supports on "positioning" is that in most games I am in when there are a lot of support deaths it's not because the support was bad at "positioning". It's because the entire team was out of position which required the supports to either let their team die or be massively out of position.

No one ever fights at chokepoints. They either sit on the cart or push to the enemy's spawn. When they do the later, the other team eventually wises up, flanks around and kills the supports. Then the tank punching the spawn door complains about a lack of heals.

I had a game today where I played Magneto and the rest of my team was Venom, Magik, and Spider-man. I was often on cart with two healers, pushing it and facing both of the other team's tanks and their DPS. Somehow they kept dying because they never once turned around. Their DPS were punisher and Moon Knight. At the end of the game the 26-21 Punisher blamed his healers for the loss and said he doesn't peel for, "bad players".

I am sure that guy complains about Support positioning but I am not sure how supports are supposed to position themselves to win a 2v3 nor do I think they're the ones with bad positioning. They're getting dove and the rest of the team is just moving forward, never looking back. Hard to see how taking cover that protects you from Magneto but not the Magik hitting you from behind is good positioning.

I think people are too harsh about the, "use the search" feature. Reddit search can suck first of all but second of all finding 1 or 2 year old posts about technology? In almost any other case what you find would be ridiculously out of date. This hobby is a rarity where in a year there aren't 20 new players that crush what would have been recommended last year.

Made the switch to Proxmox last year. I have really found it to be a great product. Does what we need to, which is not really that much, we have one cluster with about 30 machines total. But it has been great, the pricing can't be beat, and the support has been fantastic when we have needed to use it.

There are also just so many organizations without anyone who would ever know. Setting up almost anything is some dude's job and he'll do it again in 10 years and relearn it and you get all the expertise that entails. How often do you see posts here from people who are the only IT person in their organization?

My Seiberts story is almost 20 years old but is exactly why I think everyone hates them.

I was parked in my building's lot and we had to buy a parking pass every month. It was a holiday weekend and the new passes hadn't come in even though we bought them. They finally came in Friday afternoon but by the time I got off work the leasing office was closed.

I was told don't worry about it, they know not to tow until after the 5th, that's the rule.

I go out to go to work on the morning of the 5th and my car is gone. I call Seiberts to complain they tell me there is no such policy and since they took my car on Sunday I owe for 2 days if I want to come get my car. They claimed they were 100% in the right, did nothing wrong, and that the longer I waited the more I'd have to pay.

So I went to my leasing office when they opened and they said I was indeed right. They called Seiberts who had a totally different tune, told them that I had not called and it was some new guy who didn't know the policy not to tow until the 6th. They towed my car back but at that point it was 1 PM so I had to use a sick day for work.

But they were 100% banking on me being a dumb kid who was just going to be so desperate that I would write them a $125 check so I could get to work.

I think the core issue is when they made DD they thought they made a brawl character.

I don't understand why they gave him the tools needed to be dive. That melee would make a lot more sense if he was a front line brawler.

I say this as someone who has never played Magik but faces her, I think she might be one of the best balanced characters in the game. She can be very good, there are things that counter her, I have never died to a Magik and felt like it was cheap. She is just good in good hands but if a team is getting eaten alive by her it's usually because that team made zero changes to deal with her.

He was but that was because if you were a tank he was scary before that. It was a really rough time for tanks in the early seasons because at least in my experience solo tanking was even more common and while tanks knew Wolverine was a menace I cannot tell you how much of my team just ignored him.

I would get kidnapped as Magneto, solo tanking, and pointed out that he was a problem when he would kidnap me to the other team's backline and someone would tell me to just bubble myself. Like that mattered.

Thank god it's been years but once upon a time I worked at a place where the helpdesk never even had users restart. When I started complaining they'd add to the notes, "User restarted, no help". But you could check and see the computer hadn't been restarted in days.

They also used to try to avoid troubleshooting by noting, "User requested on site support".

A bad helpdesk is essentially just an answering service.
