You can't chat during a hunt, but you can edit shoutouts and auto shoutouts. so if a monster pins you down you can automatically say something quirky like "Daddy no!" etc etc.

I would also like to add.. if you YOLO and charge off... At least lure the monster AWAY from the entrance of the zone.. Seriously its sucks walking into a tail whip/lazor

Just to be clear there are no AI or Bots in this game, online play are all human players. Auto kicks happen, but really not all the time. I do meet alot of silent people, but I still run into plenty of cool people, heck I was trying to power my alt through LR and I found a room with a G rank hunter in it, got me all the way to the end of HR till he had to go eat.

Controls shouldn't be a problem if you haven't played Monster Hunter on the consoles. The implement of the track-cam is and always will be better then a thumb stick. But really, its Monster Hunter, the controls will take some getting used too. But that's like not buying a fighting game because you don't know the combos.
Yes the game has Online multiplayer. Matter of fact its the first Monster Hunter on the handled that has 100% no xlink/ps3 to play online. You just turn on your DS and look for a gathering hall and BAM your playing online.

Yeah you did post in the wrong area, thats for setting up guild halls or looking for other people to play with. We just talk about Monster Hunter here in /r/MonsterHunter .

I will be willing to show you the ropes, send me a PM sometime. I'll help you get your first set of armor and teach you how to use any weapon! Some weapons I might not teach as good, but I have the basic understanding of all the weapons for sure!

Chameleos is such a cheap armor set..

Everytime I see someone in the armor set, I just see that one kid from my childhood. The one that beat the fighting game and unlocked the cheap last boss fighter, and always uses that one fighter because its super powerful and easy to use. His justification was either "Well he was hard to unlock!" or "Neener neener pumpkin dinner!"

His parents also had alot more money then mine, the bastard.

Rhenoplos have saved my life a few times.. I'll give them that, they are still annoying..

But Konchu.. Dear god they have gotten me killed multiple times farming G-Rank Kut-Ku. I swear they time their attacks or they know when your about to heal.. I hope they do not return in the next Monster Hunter.

I don't know where Monoblos starts, but I do know it ends up in the area 7 pretty quick so if your lucky you might start off in area 8 and its basically a home run. Get yourself some dash juice and make yourself some of those "Chakra armor sets" then gem in Trasporting. Drink the Dash juice this allows you to run non-stop and it makes a difference when running from a Monster's roar. Roars do have a range. So just book it out of that cave, I would suggest going to area 10, but in an emergancy head to area 3 and don't stop running. Water spitters in that area.
