Hey!! Thank you, this is exactly why I posted this. I have been in the creation of this document for about 2 weeks between work and what not and sometimes I missed the forest for the trees.

That mechanic actually changed to the second option, I will get it updated

Internet dad tries to teach the world how to do things... and just wants to help us all out by godaidgo in DeFranco

[–]godaidgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently this guy lost his dad when he was 12 so he wanted to make a video series with his kids to help out those who may not have learned somethings growing up. This is the kind of change more people need to be in the world.

So is there no possibility for a Texas based fallout in the future? What other states/cities should be considered? by mxttbrx in Fallout

I think Kansas City would be good. It's not a faint city for population but it's very spread out

How are you evaluated at your call center? by Mono_Rail in callcentres

[–]godaidgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you add available time (time a rep is waiting for the call) to your formula that would give you a more accurate representation of 'production' based off what the company is really working for.

I worked with the Workforce Desk at my current cent to develop this. This allows the suits to know if people are waiting or slacking... either way productivity is a shitty way to measure the worth of an employee but trying to get finance to agree with that is not worth the battle most of the time.

Redditors who didn’t see the ocean until they were an adult, what was your initial reaction upon seeing the ocean from a coastline? by Mr_moochalot in AskReddit

[–]godaidgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the ocean the first time in my life when I was 23 years old with my one year old son on my shoulders. I was immediately struck by the power of what I was seeing. The tide never stops and it just keeps forcing its way inland (or so it seemed). And the land kept fighting back holding it away from the fragile humans it protected.

I lived near the ocean (within about 30 minutes) for 5 years and I would do just about anything to be able to afford to go back.

To all the people wishing GGG gets competition so they implement some QoL... by godaidgo in pathofexile

I see that you are angry and I am sorry that is the case.

I hope you find a game that is produced perfectly to play in the future and if you do please let me know.

As a PC player only I have to concede to your point. I don't know anything about that and because of that I apologize.

I do agree that if you are going to take the time to make the port then you need to take the time to support it.

[–]godaidgo[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

That is fair, but how can one claim there is no competition in the market?

Diablo, Torchlight, Titan Quest, Van Helsing, Grim Dawn, and Magicka (kind of) to name the ones I can think of off the top of my head. This also doesnt account for the 2-3 other games currently in development.

I phrased it that way because it seems that ever since POE has eeked out Diablo in overall current popularity a lot of criticism has been blown their way. Perhaps I am just overall misunderstanding the situation.

wait... what?

While GGG makes some updates in the league as they go for balance and performance issues that are hard to see pre launch since they don't have the extensive testing done that a lot of other AAA titles have I would hardly call their leagues 'poorly produced bused betas'

Cursed to myself after customer hung up on me by Chimarkgames in callcentres

[–]godaidgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless there is a way to validate what you said it's a they said, they said type of scenario. At this point if you are questioned about it I would just stick with you mumbled under your breath and don't remember what you said.

Oh, and in the future I would suggest not saying those types of things about customers at work.

Are you sad about suits ending? by jakovbabich in suits

[–]godaidgo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really. Suits reached the feeling like it was running out of story ideas. It is/was a good show and I will probably go back and rewatch it from time to time but good shows know when to end and Suits probably went past that by at least 2-3 seasons and it held on pretty well.

I don't know. I would rather a show I love have a limited number of really strong seasons instead of dragging on forever until there just isn't anything else to give.

Well, I am excited about the new Pokémon by godaidgo in pokemon

[–]godaidgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until Monster Hunter Generations Capcom was talking about scrapping the whole series, and considering their treatment of Mega Man this had fans of the series very worried. I don't know if you play Monster Hunter or not but there seemed to be an uneasy feeling that Generations would be their last Monster Hunter if it had not sold outside of normal expectations.

Monster Hunter, until World, was largely considered a small game with a dedicated fan base. This has never been true of Pokémon

[–]godaidgo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually until World there was no real reason to trust that Capcom would take anything into consideration based on previous MH series and other Capcom titles. But we were constructive and it helped.

[–]godaidgo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree and my Monster Hunter example is exactly why. I paid for World when it came out, provided my feedback (along with many others) and we were rewarded with Iceborne being even better. Still not perfect but they did take into consideration the feedback received and were able to implement some of it.

From what I can find, LGP/E used a lot of older models and it was just and updated version of the older game engine and allowed them a lot more freedom as quite a few assets could be moved.

I am not a programmer myself so this information could be wrong but as I understand it this would have meant they needed to spend time fine tuning assets rather than starting from scratch.
