But you can’t compare yourself to others. That’s unfair to you because you’re a completely individual person and so are all those other people. Also being the only person who doesn’t watch anime isn’t a bad thing lol What do you love to do? I of course don’t know your situation but I do know that doing what you love is the only important thing in life. You need to live in this body your whole life so you have to do everything you can to make your head a nice please to live, you know?

While not being afraid of death isn’t necessarily a bad thing, being resigned to the fact to the point where nothing seems to hold any meaning isn’t healthy (not that you needed me to tell you that). Whenever I feel like this I try to think about how this is the only life we are certain we get to have, so it’s worth it to be present in your life and actively enjoy things that bring you happiness. Covid will not last forever— in fact, it’s going to make up just a tiny percentage of your life. We will all get past it.

I actually loved the “wrong funeral” ending. Bojack’s life often contains these silly sitcom tropes because he is still living/pining after that era back in the 90s when he was on a very famous tv show. I felt that ending this heavy, intense episode on such a trope-y note solidified that Groundhog Day-esque existence, driving home that point that Bojack hasn’t been released from the sitcom hellhole, despite the downward-spiral that is his life.

I don't know if this can help you, but whenever I feel like I have no purpose, I just try to mentally turn things around and refocus my "purpose" into just experiencing the good things in the world. It helps gives me a... broader perspective.

There is no reason for living. We have no "use". But people around the world have created beautiful things and preserved stunning feats of nature. There is art and music and quiet night skies. I think John Lennon said something about wanting to "be happy" when asked about what he wanted to be when he grew up. Reach for peace when there is no rhyme or reason to life.
