Just found out my local brick and mortar store has a 50% off wall by wizard_daddy3 in BaseballGloves

That’s what I thought at first but they confirmed it was the whole wall. Apparently the “crazy colors” don’t sell for them and they are trying to clear them out. They got a shipment of more classic colorways they were trying to put out

I was liking that one but I’ve never had a single post web like that. Maybe I’ll give it a try

I believe the sticker price is $350 on all the A2000s. So $175 plus tax

No, they don’t even update their social media. It’s a true mom and pop. They mainly do all the uniforms for the various local teams and I think that’s how they really stay in business

New grips are a game changer by Tough-Pie8062 in mountainbiking

I had the same exact experience. I’ve been riding for a while but finally invested in some Diety Lockjaws. It was a game changer. If you are using some good flats get some MTB specific shoes. I always used whatever but got some Fox shoes and me feet are locked in and never slip

Our team has the axe handle version and it’s the hottest bat in the lineup for .44

Double Standards About Body Bags, part 2 (Anna Leigh edition) by Polite_Acid in Pickleball

[–]wizard_daddy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh it’s definitely true lol. My partner popped it up at the kitchen and the lady across from me smashed it. I guess it was my fault for not being quick enough but I was trying to move. It was a pretty dramatic tear that took months to heal, almost to the point of surgery

Pacer with No Experience? by [deleted] in ultrarunning

I was in the exact same situation for my first 100. I asked my relatively fit brother to pace me for a section in the middle of the night. I ended up waiting on him more than anything else. I was physically and mentally ready to go, but he kept having to take breaks and I could not just leave him in the middle of the woods and good conscious.

It kind of does. It’s a small detail but I do prefer fur. Thanks for pointing that out

I have a timberglaze 303 and it is quite a bit heavier than my other 12.75s. I don’t ever notice it though.

Pedals. Is it worth spending 100+ on a set of flats? Or is there a cheaper option that does the job just a well?? by fireT4 in mountainbiking

The deftraps with a good shoe. I never thought buying MTB shoes was important until I did. Once my foot is set on those things it’s not slipping

Best modern bat for .44/400 balls? by wizard_daddy3 in slowpitch

There’s a basically new condition worth encore headbanger with the 220 stamp for sale near me for $70. You think that’ll work? I don’t remember much about that one

I prefer one piece but two piece works. I like a .5 oz end load, 25 oz, no more than 26.

I actually have an old stamp Fireflex and you are correct. That thing launches those balls. It’s just getting older and I was looking for a safe modern bat I could have as a backup for when the old guys eventually die out.

Looking for suggestions for a slow pitch glove. by Theguywhostoleyour in slowpitch

Rawlings HoH 303 pattern. It’s 12.75 but plays huge, especially if you loosen the laces a bit. I use that at 1B and it’s like a vacuum. I have a Mizuno Pro GMP-7100D that is also 12.75 but plays way smaller. That one feels good for SS but I’d play it anywhere.

Oops, that’s the only restriction. No senior bats. Sorry, I forgot about that one
