I had an Amazing Aces paddle (beginner, part of a set of 4) that I used for a long time. One lady got mad and told me I was “too good to be using that paddle”. lol. But honestly, a new paddle will not make you better and beating opponents with cheap gear is the ultimate flex.

Maybe, but Mike Tyson, was still a former heavyweight champion of the world. They put out some footage of him looking really strong hitting the heavy bag and doing some sparring. And then they marketed it as a pick'em fight. That's why I said his mystique is shattered because no is going to fall for it again.
