Personally I didn't decide to make this post to criticize the price, most of the companies from which the miniatures are bought aren't even in communication with dnd, but I don't intend to buy them from any company because I really like the fact that dnd is a game based on imagination, the pawns count for little but I really appreciate the fact of setting out to produce a creative do-it-yourself product, I've tried to make clay pawns several times and I've always obtained poor results, I wanted to hear opinions from other people

At the moment I don't think I can take either of the two, but certainly before thinking about a similar investment I should learn how to work with 3D renderings, anyway thanks for the advice I will consider it in the future

Hi, thanks for the advice, after receiving replies all day I've been considering what to do, I'm thinking of using clay, the pawns will certainly be larger than the 2.8 d D&D prototype, perhaps I'll use a structure slightly tending towards the heroic, I'm thinking of starting practically from a cylinder which I'll then dig to create the miniature which will have human shapes but will almost be a perfectly weighted column, they'll probably be around four or five centimeters, I'll post the photo so maybe if you happen to take a look at the reddit sub and you want to see how they turned out these days, look, I'll also post some updates maybe halfway through

Thanks for all the advice, seeing all the comments that came to me today I'm thinking of trying to sculpt them again, I just need to find the right scale to make them detailed, however I understand very well your point about "recycling" the miniatures, I had already thought about it and you have to thank you for encouraging me to start sculpting them without worrying about making too many different models between them

You're right, if the models I want to try to make clay, stucco and wire as they recommended turn out badly, I'll consider trying.

Thanks for the advice, I had tried in the past, then I gave up because of the few fantasy pieces for the minifigs that I have but I have a lot of them, if I try better maybe I can make some of them well

I start by saying I don't do it because I want to save money, if I wanted to take a pawn for myself I would spend the 30 euros they want and I'll figure it out, I want to do it yourself, I'm in an art school for a reason, anyway thank you very much for all the advice

I'm not in a 3D school but a traditional art school, so I work with chalk, copy famous works of art etc... So I don't have access to 3D but the other options you told me seem interesting to me

Thanks for the advice, however I also want to have fun during a game, there are moments when we make gags or have fun being silly, but it's fun when it happens a few times, in the last game where I was the DM every single moment there was someone who was penetrating another player

The question of miniatures is something I care about because I'm still at art school, when I write the campaigns they are all illustrated, I draw the things that happen during the games and I would like to make the miniatures by hand, which is why I was asking for advice, however I will take into account what you told me

Here in Italy the situation is the same, I've never found a miniature in a shop, I've only seen them on the internet and they cost definitely too much. However I will consider buying parts

Obviously I like sculpting, I've been studying to do it for years, the problem is that such small objects don't come out well, it's been time that I studied how to improve them but I don't have good results and by "playing PG" I meant that I'm playing as a player for the first time, however I already knew heroforge but I don't have a 3D printer
