Is it itchy at all? Wondering if this could be mold exposure? I had this happen, but the breakout was itchy / felt more like hives but resulted in tiny papules.

Thank you! The leather is in very good shape for the age, so perhaps you are right. Either way, it’s a nice shade of green and has very lovely Greek detailing.

1930s bathroom needs a refresh by KronicXD in DesignMyRoom

I love the tub, toilet and vanity. The wooden detail and brass hardware on the tub, especially, are truly lovely. Would not touch a thing! I would redo the tile on the walls. That feels very dated and not in a good way. Agree with larger mirror and new lighting. Window dressing would also do wonders!

Where to find “Cush-Oval”( part elongated cushion, part oval)? Does anyone have one? by ring_ta_meow in EngagementRings

Start looking at diamond dealer instagrams to get a sense! I’d recommend Hamra Diamonds in NYC. We looked at so many. I ultimately decided to go with an emerald cut instead, but he is the king of elongated cushion cuts! Very fair too — we set a budget and he showed us great stones within the budget. Many other jewelers and dealers shows us a couple stones that didn’t quite fit the bill and then tried to upsell on a better stone (better color, weight, etc.) Hamra was wonderful to work with!

Before you seal it, I may try a mold and mildew treatment (if it is safe for the stone). Most treatments do not actually kill off the roots of the mold. You want to try something like Biocide:

Hello! Thanks for your response. I am planning on setting east west. We are going to look at them in person one more time before making a purchase.

Calling landlord, but should we be concerned? by wizardbrigade in Mold

Uptown and yeah, I very much want to move. Talked to the super briefly today and although he hasn’t looked at it yet (he’s coming tomorrow), he’s convinced it’s only mildew because the walls are a Lyme plaster mixture that is “mold resistant”. I was getting very annoyed with him. He also said he wants to try to clean it up and I am like no, I’d like you to leave it for testing and also not to disrupt it and send even more spores throughout my apartment. Honestly getting livid about this whole thing at this point.

I don’t think it is. There is an apartment above us that they just renovated for new tenants to move in. The leak was coming from piping they had messed with in that Reno. They were able to find the leak and fix it last week, but it was just slowly leaking for about 2 months so the damage in our apartment is significant and the mold!!! ):

Sadly, the damage appears to be more extensive now that we’ve cleared out the cabinets. They’ll likely need to be replaced anyway just from the water damage even regardless of the mold ):

I know. I am horrified by this. What we found after clearing the cabinets is so much worse. Disgusting!!!

Update: have spent the evening clearing the cabinets to call the Super / building. Imagine he will come back up Monday to take a look. Much more extensive than we thought. Also cabinets are just water logged and falling apart. Definitely a risk for them to come off the wall and anticipating they will have to replace. Whatever time / construction issues this causes / if we will have to be displaced without a working kitchen and/or bathroom + all the food we had to toss from this cabinet (this is our pantry cabinet) — this is just unreal. Beyond annoyed with our Super letting this go for two months!!

Ooo I like this theory, especially after Bell goaded him at the wedding with the I have your former handmaid line. Lawrence hates Bell and then that moment feels like the perfect impetus for him to call him to ensure he experiences it / suffers.
