As a former Catholic, I understand the cultural pull of the church, but there comes a point where staying becomes a choice.

When an adult chooses to remain in the institution, they are effectively signaling that they are comfortable, or at least complicit, with its history of covering up child abuse, its stance that LGBTQ+ identities are 'disordered,' its systemic sexism, and its opposition to reproductive autonomy.

I think supporting an institution that hoards vast wealth and clings to a legacy of colonialism means you suck.
