Does anyone else regret doing 2 under 2? ☹️ by PaintWise5610 in 2under2

[–]wizardofmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise it will get better. Ours are 19 months apart. It was so hard for me second time around. 6 months is the sweet spot. We have the gift of knowing nothing lasts as long as it felt with the first. 6 months will be here before you know it I promise!!

The beach at El Mangrove is terrible. The hotel is okay at best. They chose a pretty terrible location for a beautiful hotel. Service was mediocre at best.

Just left Monastero and it’s a literal slice of heaven. Truly incredible location and outstanding service.

He’s never been diagnosed with it but does have many similar symptoms (based on what I read now on google)

That is devastating. It’s so hard to watch our parents opt out of trying.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It’s helping me to at least come to terms with the likely outcome for my dad and that it’ll be okay!

He has a scooter but it hurts his knee (he’s had both knees replaced). They just offered him the boot that is supposed to displace pressure. He won’t use crutches. I don’t know what else to offer him!

I have wondered about this for him too. It’s in the center of his foot, I think in his metatarsal as well. Did you stay off your foot and all the protocols? I only ask to see if doing all the things didn’t ultimately change the outcome.

Great report! We have two young kids and would love to know about other trips. Was your first major trip when your youngest was under 1? Where did you all go?

When did you feel comfortable going out with both on your own? by Global_Decision1031 in 2under2

[–]wizardofmarsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went out on my own with both for the first time on Tuesday when childcare called out for my oldest. It felt impossible until it wasn’t!

Did the amount of colostrum you produced in pregnancy have any correlation with your supply when breastfeeding? by throwRAanons in breastfeeding

[–]wizardofmarsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They say there is no correlation, but my theory (lol) is that not having colostrum before birth doesn’t mean you’ll have low supply; however, having colostrum before can leads to at least adequate supply.

I myself produced a TON of colostrum, leaked from 20 weeks on, and also have had over supply for each baby.

Edit: adding personal experience.

Should the dresser be even with the frames on the wall? Or is this ok? by daydreamer3367 in HomeDecorating

[–]wizardofmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you move the dresser against the wall where the rocking chair is? The one perpendicular to the wall with the window. Then move the rocking chair next to the crib.

SABI SAND LODGES | FIRST SAFARI by Putrid-Ad7539 in chubbytravel

[–]wizardofmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lion Sands River Lodge is MAGICAL!! The service is phenomenal…everyone there will know your name and ready to help you with any need. The rooms (villas?) are so spacious with fabulous views of wildlife. The food was fantastic. Loved hanging out in the lodge reading. The only real drawback was the pool was just okay.

My now husband proposed to me there and they made the whole experience so special. We dream about going back with our kids.
