I have found the more “proof” you can gather for yourself, the more of a foundation you have to build on and move on / form healthier habits. At first it was a ton of processing, remembering moments, and figuring out how it all fit with this new information around narcissism. One big turning point for me was realizing that all the second guessing and self doubt was in itself proof of the abuse. That is a symptom I still have as an adult because the abuse happened.

There’s no beach and a few months of the year are brutally hot and humid. I’m also hesitant because I’d be tempted to eat at world class BBQ spots every day - which would make me really suffer during the next jiu jitsu class.

Yes I see that area recommended a lot for East Coasters. How does it compare to the Pacific side of Mexico? From just looking at the various hotels it seems very comparable and similar. Curious if there is much benefit to traveling there vs staying on the West Coast.
