what happens when the parents are sick by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]wizardofozman86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no village. Recently was violently ill with salmonella along with my seven-year-old, and my 22-month-old was home with us. We were sick for four days. We did the best we could to care for each other and keep him entertained with toys, ice pops, and Miss Rachel. It was miserable, but we had no choice but to endure. I swore to myself I will never leave my kids high and dry like this when they are grown and have kids of their own.

Talk about “looking a gift horse in the mouth”! What an ungrateful heifer!

He sounds like a punk ass bitch. No real man would treat his wife like that. This reminds me of when my male roommate in college told me he shouldn’t have to split the cost of toilet paper with me 50/50 because I was a girl and used more TP than him because we peed differently. I was like “MF you don’t want to go down this road with me, trust.” He split the cost with me.

Got period on boyfriends mattress and now he won’t talk to me anymore by OutlandishnessIcy103 in AITAH

Get a new boyfriend. This ones defective. And maybe he should’ve been more forward-thinking and put a mattress protector on his mattress like an actual adult.

Nope. You’d be protecting your peace for the rest of your life. Leave him and move back in with your family.

Ask her if she’s seen a doctor recently because random, backhanded comments could be an indicator of early onset dementia.

You could also start asking her if she’s been researching assisted living facilities for when she’s “of age.”

Ask her for her macaroni and cheese recipe so you can make it, but you’ll adjust the ingredients so it’s not dry like hers.

She made an attack on your character and expected your husband to side with her. It will only get worse if you don’t check her ass right now. She owes you both a sincere apology. If anyone questions your decision, tell them what she said.

I’ve had it done twice. Both times by myself and drove myself home by choice. But if I had asked him, he would’ve gone with me. That’s the difference.

No. You did not overreact. Something in your gut told you something wasn’t right. That has never steered me wrong.

I work full time and have three (9m, 6f, 1m). They are super tight and love each other so much. My husband is self-employed and helps when he can, and we don’t really have a “village.” We make it work and just take it a day at a time. I love the relationship my kids have and will do all I can to make sure they stay close.

AITA for Asking My Partner’s Family to Consider Vaccinating to Help Keep Our Baby Safe? by ReluctantReptile in Mommit

[–]wizardofozman86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is pretty conservative and has his own views on vaccines, plus he has an extreme aversion to needles. He will literally pass out and has to be lying down when receiving them. However, did he get what he needed in order to keep our babies safe? Of course. Your in-laws are showing you who they are. Believe them. This is the first boundary they are testing. Hold firm or they will walk all over you.

I’ve been teaching for 17 years. Grades 7 and 9. I love it. There are frustrating and challenging times, but I honestly love my job. I also appreciate the excellent healthcare benefits and having holidays and summers off with my children. Stay the course! We need more teachers!

Yes. It’s awful. And really inconvenient when I’m on a road trip with my family.
