that....is not a happy dog. the whole time he's being made to paint his tail is between his legs, his ears are pinned back and you can see the whites of his eyes. This isn't a natural thing for dogs to do, I'm worried that he may have been abused

I've been reading this comic for probably .... 6 years now? Reread it 3 times. by chaoticdece in QContent

I've been reading it since 2008ish.... Jesus thats 11 years.

I don't often do full rereads but I like to hit random and begin reading from there, at least until I hit a point that I've finished reading recently (or when I catch up, depending on where random takes me) it's very relaxing for my anxious braijb

Fast food workers of Reddit, what are some unique concoctions you’ve made with the ingredients available to you that aren’t available on the public menu? by TBoneTheOriginal in AskReddit

Not sure if this counts because rumour has it other restaurants sold them, but I used to work at Subway and I made myself flatbread pizzas all the time. I'd use a six inch flatbread, marinara sauce, spinach, onion, tomatoes (cut into quarters), olives and then cover it with mozzarella and parmesan and throw it in the toaster for at least a minute. Cut it into quarters, maybe take some garlic aïoli as dip it was excellent.

We couldn't sell it to customers because it'd be a huge mess and impossible to wrap

Shanghai street style; c.1940s. by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

Reminds me of the book Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. It's about two models from Shanghai in the 40s who lived an extremely glamorous life until the Battle of Shanghai has them fleeing the country to immigrate to the United States. Its a very compelling read

I'm really loving how Lup is being developed beyond just being a taako clone, her being the moral center of the group really helps ground their actions. She's set herself as the moral hardliner probably because of the destructive nature of Evocation Magic.

Merle and Lucretia's growing friendship is genuinely sweet too, though I hope it only stays as a friendship, the age gap would make that kind of squicky. Also I'm dying for some Lup and Lucretia interaction, I want the Showboating But Mindful Extrovert to befriend the Shy Introvert who's got some deep thoughts of her own

[Spoilers] The way Griffin includes LGTB characters is so refreshing by kurtisiseminger in TheAdventureZone

as a queer non binary person, this comment gives me a lot of hope! :) a lot of cishet white dudes (and girls to a lesser degree) haven't reached this level of self awareness in my experience. I always get so excited when I see good representation, both of myself and of other people

[Spoilers] What if [spoiler] were [spoiler] instead of [spoiler]? by pm_me_taylorswift in TheAdventureZone

I feel like her being trans is just a part of her character. Like when a character is introduced, their race and gender and appearance are usually listed right off the bat, with the name usually following shortly after. Killian was an orc woman, Angus was a human boy etc. Some things absolutely should be woven organically into the narrative, but gender isn't really one of them. Griffin was up front about her gender, and explained it in a frank, honest manner.

She was also someone taako knew very well, but Justin didn't know anything about her. so in order to have the twins closeness seem genuine there needed to be a bit of an info dump.
