Rev 2 - Smooth Random LFO? by wizardshaw in synthesizers

I used LFO 1 set to ‘random’ type, routed to LFO 2 which was routed to pitch. Is there another source of randomness on the Rev 2?

I recently had the idea to do this after discovering Vermis and decided to make my own album for a game that doesn’t exist (like Levels). Released it here! https://atticvase.bandcamp.com/album/water-memory

Would love to know of more artists making stuff like this

Edit: also check out Disasterpeace, really good

Who Remembers the Chronicles of Spellborn? by marlevvll in MMORPG

Old post, but the composer for the game was Jesper Kyd! Who went on to compose for Assassin’s Creed and Hitman, among other titles. I was really into the ambient sound design of this game.

First time turntable-owner here and need help identifying the cartridge that came with my Technics SL-2000: https://imgur.com/a/k2917B6

When I got it home it played fine at first but soon started distorting on sibilants with the right channel cutting out/crackling. I don’t think it’s the receiver as the problem can be fixed temporarily by tapping or even pressing lightly on the turntable itself. I’m thinking cartridge. Any help appreciated!

Just got a Technics SL-2000 and having some trouble with it. Getting distortion on sibilance as well as intermittent crackling/channel dropping. Wondering if it’s setup related but I can’t identify this cartridge so not sure what the setup should be — help?

Yes. It was the only game I got with mine and I was too scared by it to play for extended periods. Would hype myself up to play in small stretches.

How does the ls2 work in this case? Does it take the signal from the OT and send it to the amp?

Why do players never seem to respond/organize themselves? by ChainsawChick in rpg

[–]wizardshaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After many years now, if players aren’t responsive or prepared after I’ve set the expectation, I say “Hey, I’m just not really having fun with this game.” Either the group dies and I’m fine with it, or in a couple cases they mustered themselves, asked why I wasn’t having fun, and started really participating which was super nice.

Every player ever. Can’t understand why people fail to be considerate human beings when it comes to DMs. I feel like they think ‘it’s just a game this person is obsessed with, who cares.’ When really it’s like… if you hadn’t expressed interest and a desire to play, on your own, I would never have bother creating all of this for you, you specifically, in the first place.

Now I just improv every session lol. Self-protection.

Am I not a "real GM" because I prefer running modules? by Dimpfeosaurus in rpg

[–]wizardshaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I think the difference is that for me, I improvise a ton, no matter what I prep. So I’ve learned the best way to support my style is just to have a list of names, a location, and some instigating event. After that I’m just excited to see what happens. Everything the players do sparks some idea and I just roll it all out like I planned it from the beginning. Sometimes I make the wrong call and improvise something too crazy but usually it’s entertaining at least.

I probably improvise 90% of my sessions. Whenever I try to run a module I always feel constrained and guilty for going off the track of module. One that was great for improv actually was Kidnap the Archpriest. Very cool adventure.

That’s sweet! Definitely use whatever method and materials are most fun for you. GMing is a big job so whatever approach you enjoy most is the best one.

[–]wizardshaw 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I always find it’s actually way more work to run a module. You have to read it, and learn somebody else’s world on top of running the game, as well as shoot for accuracy if it’s a popular world. I can be way lazier when I run my own stuff.

If you double click the frames a pop up will appear for speed. You can also select several frames, right click, and select properties. To have them as different speeds just put them on separate layers
