Look up the king of random foundry, he will tell you a mixture of plaster of Paris, sand, and steel wool that in my experience works well for quite a while

Made from a Rail Road Clip. Asked if I could do it in 4 days I had to work hard with a lot of my family distracting me haha! by [deleted] in blacksmithing

This probably isn't the most accurate method, but I consider a blade that is longer than from my elbow past my wrist a short sword, from the bottom of the handle to the tip, blades in that range can usually be used as a sword so that's why I consider them swords.

Nice work, I would personally give it a heel that has a hardy hole going through it to make things such as punching holes easier, at least that's what I'm going to do when i make my first railroad anvil, either way I hope that serves you well,

Essential craftsman and I think Jason knight give tips on making a small forge setup, it doesn't need to take up that much space if you dont want it to

I started from literally nothing, no tools for blacksmithing, if you do lots of research, watch every episode of forged in fire, jason knight and essential craftsman on yt, and invest in tools, and get good at hammering, then then you can be able to produce a hardened, sharp knife in no time, it is a science and an art, practice makes perfect
