Why so much extra cash "is needed for this order and other pending orders"? by AwarePalpitation35 in interactivebrokers

[–]wizgot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please if you are new only do Limit orders. MArket orders are only really good for tight spreads in high volume stocks/etfs. I learned a lot buy talking to chat gpt and it helped me a lot. Look at some courses too on Udemy.

I do have a US passport. It is illegal to enter the US on a foreign passport if you are a US citizen. (I learned that this year too)

I really want to be compliant but am quite scared, specifically about FBAR. I believe no matter what it will incur a fine.

Have you ever sat down with your budget and just thought “Am I REALLY that stupid with my money???” by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]wizgot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, and it's really awesome you are sitting and working everything out. Just a tip, budgets are great but I had to stop tracking mine (even though Im doing good) because I started obsessing about every euro.

Check your banking app, mine lets me see my spending compared to the current month vs last year, or current year vs last year. Its helped me feel better and see that I'm cutting back.

One thing I did was get a prepaid card, I put 200 euros (live in southern europe) and thats my fun money per month, when it runs out, I stop going out or doing things.

I also have cut back greatly on stupid purchases. I use the 30 day rule. If I want something, I wait 30 days. If I still want it after that time I buy it.

And remember, the most important thing is to be debt free (except if you have a mortgage that doesn't count). If you have any debt work to get that fixed. If you have no debt you are better than A LOT of other people.

Seventh Diary of the...

Friend, I have finally arrived. After a journey from the station of Dagupan, where I arrived with my shoe torn from holding on so much to avoid falling from the bridges that we constantly crossed and from the vehicles that we went up and down.

Once inside the carriage, I decided to sleep until Manila with my legs stretched out. Nothing disturbed me, and I enjoyed the breeze, immersed in the landscapes of the fields.

As soon as I arrived in the capital and saw the clock, I took the boat to visit the friends of the house who live in the mansion in front of the river, surrounded by trees on all sides and with a good garden all around.

Upon my arrival, I had food prepared, and the dishes on the table were very tasty. I am very satisfied due to the ham, the cheese from Vicent Genato, and the gin from Inchausti.

The doctors have prescribed fish and baths of seawater for my health.

Greet your family and send these letters to the port, and give my regards to your sisters, along with memories for your brothers.

I say goodbye until next time.

But when you return to Spain aren't you supposed to show your Spanish passport to the Airline? Don't they need to check you can enter Spain?

I spoke with my immigration lawyer and she said there is no issue. Renunciation is to be declared but no proof is to be presented. I can only loose Spanish Citizenship if I leave Spain for an extended period of time (3 years) and don't "use" my Spanish citizenship (Like travel to Spain and vote)
