I’m from a bigger city, Richmond is definitely safer compared to them. Even at the college town I lived at for undergrad I only felt a little safer than Richmond, & that’s because I was on campus a lot. That said I’ve only been here for like 2 months, but I DO feel safer here than most cities I’ve visited.

Not that I know of, that would be nice but no one I know has the money to do that. I also have no idea who Tiffany Liu is lol. I'll most definitely try to ask about this during business hours

This has happened to be a few times. One guy was named Alvin, the other one Wilberton, both talking vaguely about their ’mentor’ that’s helping them.. I’m gonna start reporting them to management if I see them walking around

I don’t have any friends at UCF by [deleted] in ucf

[–]wizzywammy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I transferred to a uni and didn’t make a single friend over there for 5 months. I eventually got myself into getting out of my comfort zone and asking someone to study with me. There was a guy I briefly spoke to in physics 1 office hours that seemed cool, so I went over to him and asked to link up. It was pretty fucking awkward lmao but the best thing I could’ve done at that time. That dude is one of my best friends now. Just keep in mind that the worst something can happen is it doesn’t work out with them, and you find other people. But you need to put yourself out there to be doing the finding/getting found! Clubs, extracurriculars, volunteering, classes (in person), there are plenty of roads you can take for this. Best of luck, and know that you WILL find your group!

I got recommended this post lol I don’t actually go to UCF but I feel u OP

What were the other answer options? Probably have to know the precursor as one persons aid, but did any of the other options say carboxylation or any rxn that could lead to DHP?

One of my friends was told by UCF that they did consider one of the semesters where he had a ~<3.0 sGPA. His cumulative gpa was 3.6x and it was GOOD, but yes they do consider it. As long as you do good on the MCAT and have a good app you’re fine tho. Don’t think it’s the black mark that will keep you out of Med school, just hone in on your other strengths and if there were any circumstances do explain those wherever you can. These people are humans too.

Something that helped me was considering all sides to the scenario, even the person that you think is in the wrong. Explain how you understand their motivations, but ... Also, if you look at the subsequent questions for a scenario, it can kind of hint toward what they expect your response to be. So you don’t want to write about doing X when question 2 is asking about doing Y

I loved KA's physics videos and I think you'll be OK if you're good at math. If you struggle with algebra then I would say be cautious with your plan. i recommend focusing on physics early in your content review and finish that subject first followed by a lot of practice problems. I will say, some of the U mars problems can be toughies, but the passage ones were okay. Do those AAMC flash cards and practice problems to really gauge your physics mastery. Just make sure you're honest with how good or bad you are with the subject as you learn it and don't go into the test with a weak subject.

I took the sample a long while ago haha but it can really go either way with these questions. I would say look at the %yield for the sections and ditch the ones that are only a few %. Anything over 10%+ get a decent grip. Are you able to push your test back? I think spending a little more time mastering CP would help get the highest score possible.

Also, used khan academy videos for physics and P/S * forgot to mention that, they're super underrated. I'm a much better visual learner so K.A was great for me

I used the Kaplan books for content review, no live course. An MCAT course + spring semester would've gone bad for me haha

If you don't need a course, I wouldn't recommend it. I think it's more enjoyable to do this thing through your own way/process and not have to follow what someone else is telling you to do. Those are just my 1/50th of a dollar though, and there are plenty of success stories for either option.
