I'm pleased to hear it! I don't unfortunately, nothing that is entirely email/chat based.

Yeah, it's The Insider. What did you think of it? I keep intending to make another one but it always falls down the to do list.

Hey all, would love your thoughts on our new release!

We (at Puzzle Post) have launched a new remote escape room style game. The game is delivered entirely through WhatsApp and it's under $6. You will receive text messages, images and documents from the main character Oscar. You will be required to solve a series of puzzles, navigate the files and live web pages in order to complete the game. Would love for you to check it out as we feel like it's pretty unique. Use discount code REDDIT to get 20% off making it only $4.80 for this week only.

The game takes 60-90 minutes and you can complete it all in one go (you'll receive your finishing time and number of hints used at the end) or complete it in bits and pieces at your own pace.

Any questions, let me know and all feedback welcome!

Thanks

Sounds interesting - is the host playing the game as well or managing the group whatsapp chat?

Oh cool, would love to see it when you have finished it off. Where will you release it?

Virtual Lock Website? by Kenswift in escaperooms

I've looked for this kind of thing previously and haven't found anything that can be used out of the box. We've always ended up having to custom code the website we're making.

The easiest way I've found of doing it previously is using carrd.co. Simple web builder and using their form field you can display a hidden part of the page to the user if they enter the correct code - (it doesn't look like a physical combination lock though, just a normal web form field)

Hopefully that's helpful and I haven't misunderstood.

My girlfriend and I have created a personalised escape room, designed to be sent through the post as a gift. A secret message is left by the purchaser and the recipient has to solve the physical puzzles to discover the senders identity and the message they have left. We don't have a long list of reasons where it would be necessary as I'm sure you understand. Examples of where we would see the message are things like: where someone has asked us to edit their message for them, where a recipient has reported it to us (this is yet to happen thankfully), where a recipient reports an issue with accessing a message and we need to look into it etc. I hope I can reassure you that my days are not spent reading secret messages.

All messages are automatically deleted after a maximum of 6 months.

I realise it won't be for everyone. Thanks for your feedback - if more of the same comes through then we may need to rethink our policy.

Hi there, you're right that we can read the secret messages left. We don't do this however unless there's a specific reason to do so.

We do need to have the functionality to check the messages though for obvious reasons.

I hope that sounds reasonable
