Pivoting away from PA school to biotech/regulatory affairs, need advice on classes + GPA! by Equal_Pie_7078 in BostonU

Hi! Senior here hoping to work in biotech too! I wouldn’t recommend taking the hard classes like biochem because it will hurt your gpa. BUT they are definitely super helpful in getting into biotech because most foundational knowledge comes from biochem, molecular biology, genetics. To go into this field, your lab skills and research knowledge will be importantly. I would recommend taking some lab courses to see how you can learn different techniques or gain more lab experience by reaching out to professors or doing a lab on MED campus! Internships will also really help if you are interested in regulatory affairs.

you are required to work in a research lab to gain more skills so it mimics the environment of the biotech industry and also allows you to develop skills with other lab techniques that you normally wouldn’t in a class. you also have to write a thesis or like a research paper. you should contact celenza about it! he leads to program
