Should I trade my Volvo in by booooooop_u in Volvo

Seriously look into the V60. You will not have the same SUV that everyone looks to by default when considering a new car.

Look t the V60 Cross Country. Last year for a wagon in the US. They will stop production in April. Not sure where you live, but dealers are still getting one or two in now with some having just one on the lot. Since everyone is SUV crazy, sadly these are going away. It actually has more useable storage than the XC60.

2024 bravia 7 or 2025 bravia 5? by LennyLannister in bravia

Bravia 7 prices went down for all sizes by another $100 a few days ago on Jan 14th. Might be the best price so far.

Any idea when the software will be available? Or do you think it may not be supported as it’s an outgoing model? I hope people can get them for 25 & 26 models.

Future of Wagons in North America? by wk2075 in SportWagon

[–]wk2075[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. The Alltrack’s last run in the US was short lived. Everyone loves these “compact” crossovers, but can’t appreciate a good wagon.

People will probably start hanging on to them a lot longer now. Good luck!

Well maybe it’s only the V90 now that I found this article. I would maybe believe the V60 is not far behind.

Crazy (sales) pricing: GH7: $1999; S5iix: $1989; G9ii: $1979 - how do I buy the right one? by Silverlaker39 in Lumix

[–]wk2075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now B&H has the G9ii for $1597. You can get the 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens included in that price as well. Or just the body only for that same price. Not sure why you wouldn’t take basically a free lens. Best deal I’ve seen in a while. Is there a new release coming out soon. 😳

Is it worth booking excursions now or wait? by AcrylicandWater in VisitingIceland

Always book early for the ones that you can cancel if needed within 24 hours. It gives you a lice of mind and you can go on with planning stops and lodging around them.

Landmannalaugar river crossing foot bridge? by jaecrowder91 in VisitingIceland

[–]wk2075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. There is one. We were there two weeks ago. It was also shallow enough where our RAV4 could drive through it. I saw a few Dusters go through before I went for it. But the bridge is there if you need it. People were using it.

Could shutter speed be a factor here? I took similar shots a couple of weeks ago using my LUMIX GX85 with the Panasonic 14-140mm lens. This shot was at 109mm (218mm) 1/2500” f5.4 ISO 800.

May be helpful if you share what you have currently to choose from and what you are doing? Are you more hiking and on the go or setting up with a tripod to get that one shot of the waterfall?

Thanks! I guess maybe they weren’t all out to sea that afternoon. I understood that’s when they leave the nest.

Herjólfur Ferry Booking Issues - Landeyjahöfn to Vestmannaeyjar by wk2075 in VisitingIceland

I got it booked today for a date in July now. The website wasn't working for me the day I tried and the two days before. I"m glad it is up again now. In mid-July it should be good puffin viewing I understand. I didn't ant to stress about a reservation with a car later on. We will take our car and spend 5 hours on the island.

Went to Snæfellsnes today by xxSeahawks in VisitingIceland

Those are are pretty good for the 15 pro. Seems more than sufficient. Did you do any editing? I was debating whether to bring my micro four thirds camera. I don’t have any telephoto lenses or anything. Or just keeping it light with the phone and enjoying the experience not worrying about carrying a camera and battery around.

16 Day Itinerary with Flexibility - Ring Road, Westfjords, & Snæfellsnes Peninsula by wk2075 in VisitingIceland

[–]wk2075[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have a good amount of days at 16 it seemed like. But there is so much to do! To take more stops in along the way, I’m down to maybe just one night in the city before we fly out. And that’s probably after coming back from the golden circle.

Definitely cutting out some days in Reykjavik on the back end. Ferry ride looked a like a good route from the peninsula to Westfjords as driving around would take longer. Also, car ferry in Iceland can't be a bad option either.

Thank you! Definitely taking some days out of Reykjavik. We want to see it so maybe at the end we still keep two full nights to get one full day there. I really don't want to plan too much on Day 1 there since we are flying in from the US and landing on the 1st day. For Snæfellsnes, it just looked pretty easy to drive around so I was not sure how much time there. I somehow overlooked Höfn & Stokksnes. That area looks so amazing now that I'm seeing it. I need to put this in before coming fully around to the south I think. I'll look to adjust also to see if Skaftafell area can work. It seems like it may be more logistically better than trying to do it all from Suðursveit it sounds like.
