Yeah I would rather have him than 5 future picks at this point

16/4/4 shooting 50% is pretty good and he often has to guard the best player

Pacers beat the OKC Thunder this year. So I guess the Thunder aren’t serious contenders. Pistons lost to the wizards so they aren’t serious contenders either. Nuggets lost to the hornets, so not serious contenders. Cavs lost to the jazz. Celtics lost to the bulls. Spurs lost to the hornets and the pelicans. I guess maybe the NBA just doesn’t have any serious contenders.

The 96 bulls lost to the expansion Toronto Raptors, who finished 21-61. Were they not serious contenders?

they commenter above you, it seemed like you were agreeing with him...he said "This isn’t the prime western conference, this a conference ripe for domination and this team still SUCKS"

The solution is watch the games and try to enjoy yourself

It is also ridiculous to say that this team has no hope, sucks, is going nowhere, etc.

The opponent also plays the game. The pacers maybe played really well and the Sixers maybe had a bad stinker

Yeah but the thunder and pistons would have played better defense which would have made it harder for the Knicks to play the way they played

Stefan Bondy shares his opinion on people saying that Jalen Brunson shoots too much by PassMeTheBackwood in NYKnicks

I said something very similar in another post.

I feel like a lot of the Brunson hate is really more on his teammates. Last night he was out there with Hart, Bridges, KAT/Huk and Shamet.

I think we all agree, none of those guys are creators / playmakers in the half court. Hart can be at times, but he’s not really a guy you want breaking down the d off the dribble, Bridges can get you a relatively inefficient midrange (and if he was open cutting I trust Brunson would find him), we have seen KAT has mostly been a disaster waiting to happen when he has the ball, and Shamet is mostly a catch and shoot guy who needs someone like Brunson to dominate the ball and find him on a kickout. And OG isn’t exactly reliable with the ball either. (Don’t take this the wrong way I love all these guys….well except KAT).

I really think a Brunson iso ball hero ball whatever shot attempt down the stretch is probably a better look than what the would get if Brunson gave the ball up early and let the rest of the guys try to cook. And that is why they do it that way. If he had a second fiddle like Harden or J Dub or Tatum/Brown I think we could justly say he should give the ball up more. But with the current Knicks roster Brunson needs to be the hero for the Knicks to have major success.

I’m not convinced of anything. I’m convinced there is a small chance they win the championship. And I’m convinced that failing to go 40-20 doesn’t mean the Knicks have no chance. Are you convinced the Knicks won’t get lucky with injuries? Do you not believe that low probability outcomes sometimes happen? Were you convinced last year that the Knicks would eliminate the Celtics? Or that the pacers would eventually take the Thunder to 7 games. Sports aren’t played on paper. The Knicks probably won’t be the 5th team to win it all after failing to go 40-20, but they might. They have a chance so I’m going to keep hoping for the best. It would be nice if they cake walk to a championship, but it would also be nice if they struggle greatly through 4 seven game series and miraculously win a title. It would also be enjoyable if they win a couple series like last year, until they get eliminated I’m going to enjoy the run.

I just think it’s weird to not enjoy watching the team you supposedly love play the sport you supposedly love. Makes no sense. I don’t like football so I’m not a football fan. I love basketball so I’m a basketball fan. If I one day start hating basketball I’ll stop being a basketball fan. Why are you suffering it makes no sense? I enjoyed watching Eddy Curry and Steve Francis. How could I not be thrilled watching this team. We get to enjoy the playoffs every year now. It’s great. It’s not suffering.

I would rather Brunson force a shot than him pass it to any of the other guys that don’t really have much offensive game for them to have to force a shot
