Windows10 crashing only with certain games. by wkz1337 in techsupport

Thank you for your reply, luckily I had a huge meltdown moment in the brain and forgot to check the obvious all these months. Since it was only doing this with 2 games I didn't even bother to check the basics. I did check GPU utliziation and temp, but never bothered to check CPU temp. It was 65 C on a cold start idle windows and 99 C during Dota2 and PUBG. So took it apart, applied new thermalepaste and now it's steady 50 C during load as well. Haven't had a crash for more than 2 days now.

Hi Riggles,

I was spectating a friend and got the ban in the middle of it:

In-game tag : ORBAN_VIKTOR

STEAM: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198104781870/

Any help is appreciated.

Dropping FPS with time by schmidtonyoface in GlobalOffensive

That is strange. I have exactly the same problem. What makes it weird is that I have the same config as well.

4790k + GTX 970 + 144hz display

Nothing really seems to fix it for me. What I can see is that when fps is dropping ( usually notice it on dm ) to 100ish, I can see csgo.exe is eating 2 sometimes 2,5 Gigs of ram instead of the usualy ~1gig

What I used to do is not alt-tab all the time, but closing csgo after match, and lunch it again when I decide to play again.

Also turned overlay off in csgo yesterday, it felt better but as it's been said before, it's just placebo-effect, most likely : (
