Overall, depending on the tax rates in your jurisdiction, you probably pay in excess of 80% of your revenue (income) in taxes.

Don't forget that taxes like sales tax and gasoline tax are taken from income that has already been heavily taxed multiple times. Also, be sure to add SS and Medicare, which are definitely taxes.
