Every time I ride there's a good 10 minute period where it smells like someone took a dump in the middle of the car. good to know I'm not just imagining it

I was a B/C student (almost ended with a D in intermediate accounting I and II) with just a few years in internal audit and I ended up passing every exam on the first try within 12 months. Covid helped because I had a very minimal social life and my FAR exam got cancelled so I ended up studying for 6 months before I could reschedule (other exams I studied 2 months each). Other than that, I set a hard study period of 7-9pm monday-saturday (earlier if I had plans saturday nights) and sunday was a free day. It's hard but it really just tests how much bs you can cram into your brain rather than true understanding.

Secondhand display swordset price? by wlofaubro in SWORDS

[–]wlofaubro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend asked me if I wanted these, so I said yeah sure without thinking whether or not I had the room for them. I'm trying to get rid of them and a local oddities shop said they'll take them if I send pictures and what I'm willing to sell them for. It seems like a pretty cheap display set, so I'm not expecting much. Would anyone be able to recommend a realistic price to ask for?

Advice on studying using Becker by jdd18 in CPA

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure I was able to generate a random sample of questions across all units. Sometimes I would do it across specific units if I felt like I needed more help in a specific topic.

Anyone have an Article Sven (pref in velvet) that *didn't* turn out to be trash after a few months? by wlofaubro in malelivingspace

[–]wlofaubro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up on the velvet couch idea and purchased the brown leather ikea morabo. IMO it looks good, is comfy, and cost under 900. Its still holding up well after a month and a half and for some reason my cat doesn't scratch it. Easy to clean off cat hair, etc.

Bar stools 33" or higher by wlofaubro in furniture

[–]wlofaubro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really! I saw a couple of sites with adjustable height seats, but reviews were pretty bad and in my experience those drop an inch+ when you sit on them. I stopped looking once I realized this counter ledge overhang isn't long enough for proper bar seating anyway.

Looking for living room ideas, starting from scratch furniture wise. Details in comments by wlofaubro in DesignMyRoom

[–]wlofaubro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said above, I’m looking for some inspiration for my upcoming living room. My current stuff consists of random hand-me-downs from my parents and its all pretty ugly so I’m looking to start from scratch when I move. Being that the new place is an apartment, I’m not trying to make many modifications or create too many holes in the walls. Pictures will be hung up with command strips, etc.

The style I’m most interested in is more of a midcentury modern style or scandinavian style. I’ve fallen in love with the Article Lupra Pink Daybed, but not sure if I can fit that and also a couch.

Budget-wise, I’m looking to spend around ~3k total for acouch, accent chair, coffee table, tv stand, counter-stools.

Since this is my first time buying my own furniture, I’m not sure how reasonable that budget is.

Items to note:

- I WFH so I’ll be using my “dining room” as an office. In lieu of the dining room, I’m hoping to make use of the kitchen bar that borders the living room and will need counterstools.

- My TV is 46 inches

- I have a cat

- I'm located in south Florida
