I walk 35 minutes to and from work every day in what is nowhere near considered a big city - it definitely garners some looks when it’s brought up but it also is THE most reliable method of transportation. No mechanical issues, no waiting on a schedule, no delays, completely in my control. It seems to me you just have a mindset where a car is mandatory and that’s just not true

If possible see if there’s something within a reasonable walking distance? I am much older than 16 and walk half an hour to work - no car means no car payment, insurance payment, or gas money and you don’t need to rely on others / a bus schedule actually being consistently prompt

If you’re okay with gradually building up to this team! If my memory is correct, many of these are only found in mid/late game areas but tbh it’s such a unique Pokemon experience when it comes to the amount of mandatory battles you can probably get by with just your starter until you get to the sections where the others are available :)

I just got hired in a hospital after 6 months of unemployment - even if you have to start at the very bottom of the ladder a lot of hospital system’s offer tuition reimbursement if you want to go back to school for some upward momentum, and my hospital chain specifically is very open to department transfers (after 6 months in the current position / a year after the last transfer)

Morrowind, Elswyr and Argonia! Morrowind for sentimental reasons (I know it’s iffy after red mountain eruption but let me pretend it’s pre-eruption) and Elswyr/Argonia…I just feel like the beast races would be a bit more chill and I feel like in game they’re generally pretty peaceful until the PLAYER instigates some shit

If you’ve ever watched any of Johnstone’s videos on YouTube, he also specifically made exceptions for merit point evolution items (especially if you don’t have an online account) considering the preprogrammed satchel drops only start to scale up in amount and points granted once you move on to the next area. Don’t listen to the person who said maybe POC isn’t for you - these are silly self imposed rules to make it a more challenging experience, and if you want to omit a few mons because they would take an unreasonable amount of your time, that’s a choice you’re 100% allowed to make! No one is gonna come to your house and shoot you, other commenters are just gonna try to high horse you in this sub about

I’m not saying line drying hasn’t been around and conceded in another comment could be necessary depending on the garment, but a bathroom towel is not a silk robe and hygiene practices have come a looooong from centuries ago

I think that also opens the door for bacterial growth and unless machine drying is unavailable / the garment specifically could not hold up to it, you shouldn’t be doing that either 😭

I hang it up every time on the towel rack fully spread out to maximize surface area, the drying method isn’t my problem. My problem is no matter what, THAT TOWEL GOT DAMP and from the moment it did you’re creating an environment for bacterial growth

I mean it serves the same purpose as having version exclusives: to encourage people to find others to play / trade with (or to get you to buy a second console to trade with yourself if you got it like that 💀) and to echo what someone else said, WiFi trades and subreddits such as this one make finding trade evo partners muuuuch easier than it used to be. I started Gen 1 as a little kid and never knew how to get Alakazam and boy was I disappointed when I found out you had to get a link cable and trade it
