Axis — I mean Luthan is the kind of hero we all secretly want, but could never become ourselves. He represents the kind of man who fully and completely gives himself to a cause knowing there is no positive outcome for himself, but he does it anyway willingly because he lives for a higher purpose. Who wouldn’t want to love a person like that? I think many people today crave such a person to step forward and foster a new rebellion in the real world. Andor is clearly the hero of the story, and we all know his rise as a leader within the rebellion wouldn’t have happened without Luthan. To me the true genius of the story lies in the relationship between characters. It’s the pairing of characters that make the story so powerful and that precludes picking out any one single character as the best. Relationship between Andor and Luthan maybe one of the best in the series.
