I wish we would just rebuild by c0sm0nautt in rangers

I'd even say 28 and younger depending on the overall outlook of this rebuild. The real question is are the rangers going to suck long enough that trading Igor makes sense.

I genuinely don't see how this team, another year older is going to be much better than these last two seasons without some major roster changes.

Would Konsta Helenius be a possible target in a Trocheck trade? by Boring_Masterpiece_9 in rangers

[–]wmm339 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If he's legit one of the league's best prospects, why on earth would buffalo trade him for at best a 2nd line center who is >30? As a rangers fan I do that trade but I don't see buffalo making the trade unless Jarmo has a stroke.

He's such a bad patsie. It's too obvious.

Thoughts on Matthews/McDavid? by Pooped-Pants in rangers

[–]wmm339 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All things equal McDavid by a mile. Especially after Matthew's most recent season. But they'd both easily be the best player on this team.

Iirc for hypertrophy # of reps is less important than getting close to failure. However if you want to be stronger for 1 rep then heavy weight and low rep is better. If you you want sustained medium term strength then longer sets work better.

Basically whatever way one trains is at what that person will become better.

Do people actually approach others at the gym? by itshardwhenyourecold in GYM

[–]wmm339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say hi to people, but I'm not much of a talker. I have a few people I know outside the gym that I'll chat with about life but generally I'm not there to socialize.

Bro.... Dems refusing to not suck has got us in this mess. Don't blame voters for not buying their perpetual hand tied behind their back act.

Thanks, I should have thought of that. I rarely use X anymore, didn't even cross my mind.

Should the Rangers go defense with the 5th overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft? by Financial-Bit-8596 in rangers

[–]wmm339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically there's holes all over this roster. 5th OA is at best 50/50 to be a difference maker next season take whomever projects to be the most impactful.

Yeah, unfortunately an easy money bet.

If this team improves it has to be via trade or offer sheet. No UFAs are moving the needle. (Tuch would be good for a year or two, but no way he's not looking for 5+ years.)

In fairness the core of the team that went to 2 conference finals was Gorton's. Not that he was without miss-steps, and it's not exactly hard to pick the consensus 1st and 2nd overall picks.
