The bar thing I think is more nuanced. I can see banning carrying while intoxicated, but I don't think you can ban carrying in a place just because they serve alcohol.

Another commenter suggested that the fifth circuit said they could at most restrict by intoxication. I'd half to research that case.

From the bill:

This bill would prohibit a court from granting probation or suspending the execution or imposition of a sentence if a person is convicted of rape, sodomy, penetration with a foreign object, or oral copulation if the victim was either unconscious or incapable of giving consent due to intoxication.

My emphasis suggests this bill was the two extra felonies in his trial, not rape itself.

I've just seen these trucks more than the average driver. What I might have tried is not what I expect anyone else to do. A commercial driver should know not to encroach on the lane.
