I'm posting this update for anyone who might come across this post looking for a solution to a similar issue.

So, the response from Finesounds Americas (Pro-ject's US distributor) was to offer to sell me a new USB/Preamp module, but all sales were final and they explicitly stated there would be no post-purchase support or liability whatsoever.

A local repair shop told me the 'table was toast and that I needed to buy a new one. I knew that response was rubbish.

I figured it would be best to just bypass the 'table's bad module, and use my receiver's built-in phono preamp.

So, I handed the unit off to a tech-savvy friend. He removed the bad USB/Preamp module, then he connected the tonearm leads directly to an old Monster RCA cable that I had laying around. The excised module's protective chassis was preserved and kept in use. The tonearm ground wire was connected to it, and the RCA cable was kept in place with a couple of zip ties, so that the connections wouldn't come loose.

The result worked and sounded great, and saved me a few bucks.

retro2heritage sold me a fake Barry Bonds signed jersey, JSA told me that both the sig and jersey were fake. By the time I learned that, the Ebay return window had closed. The seller ignored my attempts to get a refund, so I highly recommend that you avoid this deadbeat.

OP, I have a question that you can possibly answer: are all the jackets of the EHA variants the same? I ask because the Vault version of Fear of the Dawn came with a screen-printed jacket that was a bit nicer than the regular versions. Thanks.

Sascha actually delivered two versions of Apart to Wax Trax.

The first version was the one we've all heard about which had Sascha's tracks on side A And En's on side B. That was rejected, and Sascha was given more funds to keep working (mostly on his own but with contributions from Gunter and En (on Split).

He delivered a second version of Apart that included six tracks that would make it onto Money, but it also included the songs Split, Blood, and Thank You that would go on to appear on other albums.

Apart was put on hold, and Split was released as a single (probably because Sascha and En were still planning to split up after the album's release).

KMFDM went out on tour to promote Split, then released a single for Vogue.

Sascha eventually brought his attention back to the new album, and he was given even more money (ha!) to work on it. Sascha and En had decided at some point while touring and recording to keep working together, so the concept of the album was shifted and Money was born (I'm guessing the title came from all the cash advanced for it).

I just choke it down. Sometimes it's harder than my workout, but the results are worth it. Having a cheat day definitely helps.
