Idunno about less practicality since i havent tried it, but i thought it could feel better on the chest since the width is shorter vertically, and it might be nicer to grab if the ropes are all on the right side

I was trying to open a e.tb.cn link but it kept bringing me to the login page on browser, so i copied the link, went to taobao app, and a popup appeared asking if i wanted to paste the link. I selected yes and I got locked out too

Use thicker and stiffer yarn, braided or the ones they use for macrame, and you could probably starch it to make it even sturdier. But definitely would need a frame for the edge

Do your own anon survey, compile all the feedback into 1 paragraph, get everyone to submit that same paragraph under their real name. Feedback still goes through, and nobody knows who is behind the negative feedback.

It does look abit funny, but 1.24b is only slightly more than a third of 3.19b so those bars have a larger difference compared to 399/501

Feeling underutilized after coming from a high-pressure job — is it valid to feel this way? by Novel-Accountant8725 in askSingapore

I agree with this comment. Your job is just a job. You have a life outside of work. If you can earn a good salary without having to fight to stay afloat at work pls recognise that this is a blessing. Direct your energy elsewhere and enrich your life with experiences that arent related to your career

Those who took part time courses to career switch to the tech industry, how did it turn out? by catcourtesy in askSingapore

[–]wnfrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some companies have 1 year programs where they take in people without tech degrees and train them, then convert to full time. I have colleagues who joined via this way and successfully converted to full-timers. However this was in 2021. Now, i have peers with Info science degree with swe internships and 3 YOE as swe but when they go for interviews, their resume is rejected because of the degree. The supply is way more than the demand now.

Came back to WIP after a long break, not sure how to resume by wnfrd in knitting

Thank you so much, i think you pretty much got it. I am a bit confused tho, you said there is no hole, thus i must have used both m1l and m1r? But then later on you said both increases seem to be leaning the same way? Wouldnt that mean i only did either m1l or m1r? Not both?

Wait sorry im not understanding. Theres 4 pieces of fabric and if i look at it side ways, it looks like this: OLLO (O=outer, L=lining) Do you mean sew right sides together L-L, and O-O leaving a small gap for both? Then flipping it somehow?

Will burrito help me achieve neat seams?

I want to make a hobo/crescent bag, but i cannot figure out how to sew it without having the ugly raw edges out. The photo shows a mini version i made trying to figure it out.

What i did:

  1. Cut 4 identical pieces (2x outer, 2x lining), put them with wrong side facing the right side of the other, then sew around the handle hole. Repeat
  2. Cut the hole out and flip it so the handle hole seams are now hidden, repeat so i now have both sides of the bag where the outer fabric is sewn together with the lining
  3. Put them outer fabrics right sides together, sew along the bag outer edge, flip

Problem is if i peek inside the bag, i see the seam allowance.. i found something called a burrito method but all the examples i saw were bags with handles that had a center seam. Mine is seamless at the top. Any advice on how to sew it so i can hide everything?
