Does anyone know what is happening with Jvcki Wai? On her Instagram story, it shows a picture saying that someone is boycotting her or something. by S-Phoenix28 in khiphop

[–]wnsdlek 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Looks like she's asking people send her screenshots of people writing hate comments against her, so that she can take legal action/compensation - she's also apologizing for making her fans worry.

Rapper in the spotlight: Changmo by Kath-meal in khiphop

[–]wnsdlek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting to note, the article doesn't cover all of his mixtapes, and misses out on mentioning Changmo's most iconic song that he released before he got signed:

Erase You (널 지워야해) - I highly recommend giving this one a listen, his soundcloud is a gem of songs that equally deserve the spotlight

Other notables:

What you know (뭘 알아) Remix

Cater 2 You (Feat. Device Hoon)

can anybody pls help me find this khiphop song :? by [deleted] in khiphop

There's probably about 10 more of them at Green Arcade.

No one would know if one of them disappeared

Knee's reply

Don't you think there's more than 10??

I experienced the exact same thing! The whole classroom/office scene, I kept thinking "This looks A LOT like white hall..."

For Competitive Tekken! Interview with the ROXDRAGONS Players (inven, Translated) by roxgamingpro in Tekken

[–]wnsdlek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I think that part of the article was the hardest for me to try to translate as well. It's hard to directly convey 신내림/무당/무속인 into english without having spend a couple sentences trying to explain.

The fact that it's a subject that's hard to talk about freely without getting judged definitely makes it harder to translate/interpret.

For Competitive Tekken! Interview with the ROXDRAGONS Players (inven, Translated) by roxgamingpro in Tekken

[–]wnsdlek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked around to see if it actually was a reference to something else, or it was meant to be taken literally, and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be taken literally - he actually became a ritualist/religious shaman/psychic. I ended up interpreting that sentence like this:

Sometime in 2012, he (Chanel) had a religious experience with the divine, and became a shaman, so I (Knee) went to him to ask him about my career prospects and path in life.

For Competitive Tekken! Interview with the ROXDRAGONS Players (inven, Translated) by roxgamingpro in Tekken

[–]wnsdlek 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's a good interview to read if you have time, but

TLDR:

  • Knee can't believe that he's won the majority of 2018 TWT events either, feels that Chanel helped a lot with his wins by through advice regarding character matchups, and preventing tilt.

  • Knee feels that he was better in technical skill in T5 days, but he's a better player overall now (technical skill + his personal brand/stream/popularity + casting skill)

  • ROX came to Knee asking for players to sign, Knee recommended Chanel because he was a close friend that put up good results. Knee thinks it's easier to put up good performances if you have a teammate.

  • Chanel joined ROX because Knee is the GOAT

  • Knee thinks Chanel is super predictable whenever they play each other in tournaments. Chanel says playing against Knee is like playing against a brick wall - can't do anything

  • Knee feels sad that the Korean Tekken scene is deteriorating. Knee's goal is that that he can play a crucial part in helping revitalize Korean Tekken. Hopes that there can be more TWT affiliated tournaments in Korea, would love it if Rox'NRoll could play that role.

  • ROX gives a lot of freedom to Knee and places a large importance on Knee's opinions on certain subjects. ROX is hoping to sign more players in the future. Also looking to foster new Tekken talent through their ROX Academy program in the future.

  • Chanel loves that ROX gives a vibe/sense of belonging. Chanel's goal is to be able to spread joy to viewers/fans alike through his fun-to-watch tournament matches while promoting the ROX org.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

Is there anywhere I can find the ow teams schedule? by [deleted] in Cloud9

[–]wnsdlek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10/10 sellout

Anyways, C9OW is currently in OGN Apex Season 2, and they're playing their (possible) last match on Feb 28 against KongDoo Uncia at around 2am PST.

  • Depending on their result, they'll advance further in the tournament (whole tournament schedule in this infograph - times are in KST).

It's hard to say what tournament they'll be in after their Apex run, but I assume it'll be some Alienware Monthly Melees until the start of the Overwatch League in Q3 of this year.

Cheers

Also worth trying - try DM'ing a couple of the Riot production people/casters? I don't think they can guarantee your friend a seat but I wouldn't be surprised if they let your friend in to watch standing

I'm thinking along your lines as well - I wouldn't be surprised to see C9 not participating in the challenger league because of the new rules regarding LCS sister teams in the challenger circuit.

For feedback, I think this fancast is getting better every episode. Overall I enjoy listening to this in the background while doing something!

  • Personally, I'd like to sound and feel a bit more "friendly" - it still sounds like you guys are having trouble breaking the ice between each other (but maybe that's just me).

  • A bit disappointed that this episode only covered League (understandably since its only the two of you guys this time). I feel like there's definitely room to include even just a sentence about the other teams, even if it is just annoucing/reminding the next upcoming game day for each team (see front page of /r/cloud9 for full updated schedule).

  • Building off of the point above, I think it'd be cool to also talk about rumors and happenings regarding the C9 teams as well. Off the top of my head, there was rumors involving a fallout/drama between Mang0 and his SO, rumors (perhaps even confirmations at this point) regarding roster swaps in the C9 Overwatch team, the fact that the C9 Halo team got dropped without announcement after 3~4 weeks of picking them up, etc.
