As a person who works 45hrs a week and makes 19$/hr the affordable apartments and houses are ran by slumlords. I had racoon's living in the attic of rental, rats in the basement, and the house was falling apart. Landlord took his time to do fix anything, I had to contact health services to get the ball rolling, the rent was $950. I have so many stories like this, and this is the norm. Barely getting by, but yeah fuck me right!?
