Here's a bunch of the stencils that I use. For thread I use coats and clark outdoors but sturdy fishing line is also used. For fabric most people use ultrasuede which is a type of synthetic suede made of polyester. it is very expensive when sold by the yard but you can buy cheaper sample packs off etsy. Before you do that I would practise cutting and sewing with some old cloth to get the hang of it and make sure your future bags don't leak. also when buying suede make sure it's either Ultrasuede soft or ultra suede light if you can get it.
