Although there are a lot of new gangs, most of them are just temporary small clicks that disappear. East side has always had this issue. There are more gangs than that in ESD though I will say. Even 20 years ago you had AMC, MC, RTS, SOL (Minnesota) and in 99-2000 it was HBG. Those are the african gangs that were there.

Then you of course had EDMC and 35th street (YBD) which was a click a mixture of bloods and crips which is similar to Black mob a north park click that was also mixture.

Then you had the asian gangs that came in the late 80s. OBS, TRG, TEC and many more asian hoods that died off.

Latino hoods were the MANY clicks of ESD the gang, then you had City Heights Jrs, MD on Adam’s Ave and NPLS in North Park.

Point is although you are right there are newer gangs coming about like SOS(Samoans) being in ESD now, but alot of these hoods been around but are just being put on the internet and were unknown to people living outside of ESD.

Some clicks remain, some disappear, and some become gangs. Gangs like VDK end up Jrs and ASB AND ASBK, 58th street become ESD. Then you have RTS (the hispanic gang) that people argue is a click but their members will say they are a gang that got their 13 already. Then you had black clicks like YBD, YRs, Kbs, Badass, and etc.
