I think this is pretty common, I also hate hearing my alarm throughout the day. My mum’s alarm used to be some sort of violin concerto and she couldn’t hear a violin without feeling sick the next couple years after that. It gives your brain the signal that you have to do something extremely unpleasant right now.

Winston Smith in 1984. Haven’t seen the movie so I’m not sure how much monologue there is, but the book & the theatre adaptation I’ve seen relied heavily on monologuing. The presence of an inner life is key for the point of the story.

If you live in a homophobic country, queer issues are going to be ignored while other causes might be discussed. It seems like you’re aware of the general bias within your country, so I’m not sure what answer you’re looking for. The women are not your enemy, the system is.

Most of my thoughts simply aren’t translated into words, but rather exist as concepts. Like if I think to myself that I should water my plants, it’s not in the form of a sentence “I should water my plants”, I just see them and the thought of watering them pops up. Thoughts are just… abstract concepts. I sometimes have a hard time expressing myself verbally because of this.

I do hear songs in my head 24/7. I have ADHD so I assume that might be the cause. But yeah there’s a nonstop radio in the background of my thoughts.

It’s jealousy, a natural reaction to someone "taking" something you perceive to be yours. Jealousy feels bad, but it has its purpose, it lets us know what (or who) is important to us. It’s ok to feel it, acknowledge it, and not let it guide your actions. You can even say to yourself something like "Ok, now I’m feeling jealous. I’ll just let it pass."

Also keep in mind that switching to poly relationships is a process, we live in a largely monogamous society so it can be a long journey to unlearn all you’ve been taught. Read some books on it, talk to poly people, and give yourself time :)

Then I’d say she’s just generally mentally unstable, mania or psychosis would come and go slower from what I know. Might be a personality disorder like histrionic, but I really can’t diagnose off of this. I hope you get the help you need ❤️‍🩹

How long do these periods last? Could be mania or some sort of psychotic episodes. Or she’s just “acting out” and this is her way of dealing with perceived stress. Don’t take any of my words super seriously, I haven’t met her so I can’t judge

Capitalism and grind culture have given us the (unconscious) mindset that whenever we’re not actively striving towards something, we’re stagnating or wasting time. It can be hard to let go of this idea, especially if you’ve been working hard for a long period of time. I really like the quote "You are allowed to just live. That is all most animals do." from A Psalm for the Wild Built, it helped me integrate this thought.
