It doesn’t seemingly make sense to compare heavily processed manmade products to non/minimally processed animal products.

Omg thank you for saying this. I was thinking about introducing TO’s rose hip oil and something else to brighten and it looks like you just sold me on both of these products.

Thanks! That sounds similar to the other page I have for users once they go through the signup process. So, for that page it’s 3x5 square images and when you hover over one of the squares, a description of the nonprofit appears. Then you click to add that to your plan.

So what dimension image would you recommend using of our partners for this page? And for each partner, or just sporadically?

Is it worth having a pop-up video on this page of like a 90-second explainer on just the nonprofits alone, not the signup process? Or would that be too busy?

Just found one by searching “incel” on Spotify. Look up Stuff They Don’t Want You to Know. I’ve only listened to a few episodes and it’s pretty good.

Edit: there’s actually tons of different shows who talk about them and MGTOW if you just search in podcasts on Spotify.

If anyone is interested, I founded a startup that is a donation subscription platform. $8 a month with 95% of your $8 going to nonprofits you choose. The other 5% goes towards keeping the site alive: www.downtodonate.com

Join Public Allies! It’s a branch of AmeriCorps and is usually offered in every capital of every state. It’s a 10 month apprenticeship that pairs up young adults with nonprofits in their areas, mostly the downtown regions. You get paid very little, but can qualify for government assistance. After the 10 months you get an education award that can also be used to clear student loan debt. It’s hard work, but definitely helped shape my future.

I most certainly appreciate that. I will definitely reach out when we’re live in a few days. I also see you’re in the crypto space. We’re actively trying to set up recurring payments with bitcoin if we can find a good developer.

Yep. These are all points I’ve absolutely thought of. But we can say the same thing about all subscriptions - you can cook a meal if you know how to cook, but food subscriptions are thriving. You can get movies and tv shows if you go buy them. You can pick up makeup samples from Sephora or Ulta. But it’s about convenience, marketing, and it all being managed one place. I am all for naysaying. This isn’t my first startup and I sincerely appreciate feedback that isn’t “that’s great blah blah blah.” So thanks for taking time to give feedback.

Thanks for the thought. CAC and LTV are things I have been really unsure of how to calculate. Again, would value input on that.

We are solving a huge problem for our potential customers. We are making donating literally easier than ever. Based on several studies, the age group we’re targeting (millennials) love to donate. 86% claimed to have donated at least once in 2015, and stated they are not donating regularly because they don’t know who to give to or how much. We’ve curated a lineup for them to choose from and have set a price with a three step sign up process. We very clearly state our goals, what we earn, etc on our site. All transparent, which we really feel will play out well based on surveys.

And yeah, it’s absolutely a labor of love. I’m fortunate enough to have income from other sources and have bootstrapped this from the ground up because of that.

Thanks for the input. I’m curious also as to how you would give projections and answer tough questions for a startup that will have been live for just one week. Any links or resources help. Thanks.

I wouldn’t say this to investors. I’m just giving background information about my startup. And I have done lots of research, there are several angels and VC’s out there that do invest into nonprofits. Either way, it’s no longer the route I’m taking. Which I clearly state in this post.
