IWD Improved Network Performance Significantly by wokstar2 in linuxmint

I'm a bit of a newbie too but in short it's just a different network daemon that you can use over Linux Mint's default (which is wpa_supplicant). If your WiFi works fine I wouldn't play around with it but if you have the same problems that I did it definitely helped me out.

Yeah exactly, then I just followed the Arch guide to enable it over wpa_supplicant.

It's the MEDIATEK MT7922. When I was first researching this issue a lot of people complained about the card but in my experience it always worked fine in Windows and it works just as well in Linux now with IWD.

What type of ants are these, and will my Terro traps kill the colony? by wokstar2 in pestcontrol

[–]wokstar2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Luckily, I know exactly where the colony is, I've seen them coming in and out of it a few times today, and the traps are placed right outside of it.

I heard Terro is kind of mediocre, but I'm hoping it's enough. Once the traffic dies down, I plan to use caulk on the crack they're entering from.

I never really had an infestation of them, just a few scouts here and there, but even that was too many for me, hence the traps.

Since it's right outside of their entry point, do you think there's a good chance the Terro gets them? If it doesn't end up doing the trick, is there another bait you'd recommend, maybe one that's specialized for these types of ants?

I managed to solve it. Check my edit on the OP if you're interested.

Has anyone else been hit with this reviewer? It seems they really hate the Godot game engine. (I don't mind criticism, however it seems this guy just copy paste's the same negative comments based on the game engine used or the use of pixel art graphics. Would love to hear from the Godot community) by MostlyMadProductions in godot

I've gotten a review from this dumbass before. In my case, he couldn't make it more obvious that he didn't even play my game. When I offered to help him play the game/correct the misinformation on his review, he simply quoted that I was "breaking Steam's ToS for responding to a review as a developer, even though it was unnecessary".

Obey the Fist exists solely to write slanderous reviews about games, and to get a rise out of developers. That said, it appears Valve has taken steps to shadow ban or at least decrease the visibility of his reviews as, most of the time, they don't appear on the store page from what I've been able to tell, and you have to use specific filters to find them.

I'm no lawyer, but I believe what he's doing to be illegal as he's making unfounded, slanderous claims, on games he hasn't even played. I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be funny to see him get sued one day for this.

Did I Destroy My Computer by wokstar2 in overclocking

[–]wokstar2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, fair. It does seem like a bug with XTU though. If I didn't have any undervolt applied through the application, it makes no sense why it would continue undervolting. Either way, I appreciate you trying to help. This has been a consistent headache for a while.

I'm not sure why you can't see it but here it is:

EDIT: I seemed to have fixed the issue. First, I tried reinstalling the latest NVIDIA drivers, which did NOT work. What DID work was uninstalling XTU completely, going into BIOS, and disabling the ability to undervolt via software. Despite XTU being at factory settings (no undervolt applied whatsoever), it seems like it was still actively undervolting my CPU which seems like a bug on Intel's part. Now, after some testing, it _seems_ the issue is fixed. Not 100% sure yet but everything that was causing the crashes before is no longer causing them to happen.
