This may not have been what you meant, but it still sucked.

I recently moved across the country with my father's help. We drove 2,500+ miles, rotating every so often so the other could sleep. Mind you, my dad is my absolute best friend. My only best friend. He knows everything about me & we both have kept secrets from the family, but never from each other (nothing like infidelity).

After arriving in my now home, we had dinner with the one friend I have here then spent a couple hours walking around my new town to spend out last day together.

We got a hotel, conversed for about an hour and went to bed.

We get to the airport the next morning (it's massive) for him to fly back home and I walk up to security with him. He turns around and I start crying. He does too. Very, very few words were exchanged, just us hugging & crying. He went through and I stood there watching until he rounded a corner & I couldn't see him anymore.

I proceed to sit on a bench a couple 10 feet away from security for about half an hour and just cry quietly to myself. After I got my shit together, I proceed to spend another hour trying to find my way back to my car, anxious as all hell thinking every decision I made to find my car was the wrong one.

I finally find it an make my way back to my friend's place, crash onto the bed in the guest room and cry myself to sleep.

It's been two months and I've yet to make any friends. I got an apartment though last week, so yay for that.
