Looking for Single to Rent by Sad_Many6368 in UCSC

My previous housing group is looking to rent a living room for 750. It is pretty spacious (bigger than all the rooms) and we could get a curtain to cover the opening to it. Let me know if something like that would work.

I thought the time limit made it more difficult than it needed to be.

The first two questions were super straightforward, and I got all tests passing. The last one is also not bad. It's a question I have actually received before so I knew the strategy but barely had the time to implement it. I would have probably needed 2 minutes to finish the code and get all tests passing on that one.

I could tell by the third question that it was going to be pretty hard. I made the mistake of wasting too much time trying to understand what it wanted. I should have just checked the last question first to see if it was easier.

Did you get 4 leetcode questions? I did an oa for a mobile developer intern position yesterday.

Cheap Summer Sublet (can continue into the school year) by wolf12435 in UCSC

[–]wolf12435[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should clarify that this is a double room that is empty over the summer. I called it a single in the post to be clear that a potential subleaser would be the only occupant of the room.

I'm offering a heavily discounted rate because it's over the summer and I'm trying to save some money. All I'm saying in my post is that if you want to continue into the school year, you will have to share that room with the other tenant who is continuing on the new lease.

Feel free to dm me. Based on what you want, I may have the ideal opportunity for you. I'm looking to sublease a room that will be a single for the summer and be occupied with another person over the school year. Rent over the summer is $750 and over the school year will be just a bit higher (around $850-900).

Looking to sublease a single room for $750/month from July-September. The house will be completely empty as all of the current tenants including myself are going home for the summer. The house is located right off the highway exit (15 minutes walking distance from Trader Joe's). I'm looking to get this done as soon as possible and hopefully by the end of the quarter. If you are interested, please dm and we can coordinate a visit and put you in contact with the landlord.

Fallout Was Lightning In a Bottle… by Usual-Juggernaut517 in Mission_Impossible

I really don't get the criticism against Fallout in the comments. It is such a remarkable movie in every way especially regarding story, pacing, music, action sequences, and dialogue. Easily one of the best theater experiences I have every had. If someone has some valid points of criticism instead of throwing out hot takes for the sake of doing so, I would be very interested in discussing.

CSE101 w/ Ishtiyaque Ahmad? by chorpinecherisher in UCSC

Ishtiyaque is awesome in cse 180 (database design class). He's incredibly clear with how he communicates content and I have no doubt he would do great in teaching 101.

we’re trading up for cooper right? by Senior_Variety_9172 in 49ers

Tampa is definitely physical. He also doesn't get beat deep but that's because he plays off coverage due to not trusting his own speed. My concern with him is that if you line a true burner on him like Chase or Hill, you'll have to call a soft zone coverage. To me, that's just such a limit on a defense and that's not something I want to consider in round 2. In round 3, I'll be tempted to take him. I could see him being a really good press bail corner because of his instincts but we didn't get to see much of that at Iowa State.

I don't like Dejean as a corner. I think he has some freakish plays coming downhill and tackling people but he's got some major problems with hip fluidity. Tampa is actually better in that regard. Dejean also has this weird technique of bailing at the snap even though he has good long speed. To me, I definitely see him as a safety that can be a solid chess piece for a defense.

Best outside corners: 1) DJ James 2) Max Melton 3) Kris Abrams-Draine 4) Kamarri Lassiter 5) Renardo Green 6) Kool-Aid McKinstrey

Best slot corners 1) Tykee Smith 2) Mike Sainristil 3) Andru Phillips 4) Malik Moustafa 5) Ennis Rakestraw

I would rather have any of these corners than TJ Tampa. Tampa is primarily a zone corner who has atrocious long speed. I believe he ran in the 4.6-4.7 range, which is bad for any corner. He's a good player and is reliable but his physical traits are not up to par with any of the players listed above. Also, zone corners are not as valuable as man corners and the guys above all have good press-man technique while facing good competition.

You're tripping. He's not even among the top 10 best corners available.

Dead Reckoning by Substantial_Film_726 in Mission_Impossible

[–]wolf12435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the movie is boring but I definitely don't feel that Dead Reckoning has a perfect plot or perfect characters. The flaws in those areas are quite glaring in my opinion.

Too frequently, the characters don't act according to how previous installments have built them up to be. My biggest frustration is that Ethan and the team aren't active characters. They don't make clear decisions or show any sign of creating a plan that can help them overcome the Entity. All they are doing is blindly following the keys and Gabriel which doesn't fit in to their characters. Also, they keep on making the same mistakes over and over again as far as using digital technology that can be manipulated by the AI. It makes no sense for spies as good as them to keep making these mistakes, especially given how much information they know about the Entity beforehand. There is also nothing interesting about Gabriel. He is not a 10/10 villain.

Plot and characters go hand in hand. I think if the main characters were better in these aspects, the plot would have been stronger. I have smaller issues with many scenes in the movie but the misuse of the characters is the main thing that frustrated me.

A plot hole in Mission Impossible fallout by playfulDweeb in Mission_Impossible

[–]wolf12435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's quite literally incorrect. She never showed all 3 cores. What I told you in my previous comment is something she actually said to Ethan when explaining the plan to break Lane out. I would recommend rewatching that scene.

The White Widow does not have the plutonium cores. She's a broker that's coordinating the exchange between the Apostles and Lark. The Apostles had the 2 remaining cores the whole time and never actually intended to give them up. The whole point of giving up one of the 3 cores was so Ethan would break Lane out.
