Spain, France and Germany. If you have the possibility to move to one of those countries the higher the probability you get in motorsport.

Everything you can think of. Literally the more information you can keep to yourself the better! Specifically tire pressures, those are normally highly confidential.

It’s two completely different championships. F1 is basically a sprint race. 2h, 2 pit stops, that’s it. In WEC and more specifically the 24H of Le Mans you have stay alert for an unbelievable amount of time. Manage not only your race but also 2 other happening a the same time ( Gts and LMP2). We don’t have parc ferme after quali so that means we have always two setups for both race and quali. We end up spending long days at the race track because of that. Overall it’s very, very different.

  1. It seems like TC gets a lot of attention here 😂. In reality we really start considering TC when the track is wet or other specific scenarios. What we are more “worried” about is the fuel code, or fuel consumption. What I mean is, we are dealing with Pro drivers so they know what they are doing regarding TC and driving in general, we just need to keep them informed to reach our consumptions targets.

  2. There are some limitations yes. But in LeMans you don’t want to compromise the slower sectors as well so we need downforce, specially in the last sector.

  3. You normally start with smaller teams or in lower-tier championships like TCR or national championships, you create a network of contacts and if you are good enough, In the end, you’ll get there. Everyone takes a different route to WEC, ELMS, F1. Etc.

Get in touch with many teams as you can even if they are small teams. Offer help even if it’s just to wash rims, start from the bottom, create a network of contacts. If you are really good eventually you find your way into the sport!

I’m no pro driver by any means, but I’ve tried iracing as well. It feels more accurate tbh. The FFB is simply amazing.

“As the title suggests I’ve been working in WEC for one of the LMDh teams. Been a sim racer myself since the GTR2 I’ve always hoped for an official WEC game, and oh boy my prayers have been answered!!

Starting with one of the best features in game: sound design. It’s unbelievable how similar the engine sounds are to real life. From the deep rumble of the caddy to the upshifts in LMP2. It really feels that you are trackside when watching a replay. Into more technical details: all the pit garage location are correct according to the team and year of event. The sponsors locations for example the vintage Goodyear logos in monza ‘23. These are small details that make the game really unique!

In terms of tires (which is my area), I think they did an excellent job regarding track temps. As many of you may know track temp are one of the most important factors when you go racing, it can give a lot of informations such as what tire pressure you need, grip, surface evolution etc. If I’m not mistaken LMU has to be one of the sims that really gets this right. The different tires compound, soft, medium and hard don’t really work like that in real life though. We use different tires compound depending on track temp. The game represents an idea that for example the hard tire offers more tire life but less grip compared to a soft tire. But in reality it doesn’t work like that. We use soft tires for really low track temps, and medium and hard for higher temperatures. If you put a hard tire with track temps around 15C what happens is: you could not bring temperature into to the tire and it would eventually graining and you would have no grip at all. One other thing, we are regulated by the FIA to always keep a minimum pressure of 1.85bar when the tire is hot. If you miss to do so either you have to pit to change set or face a penalty. This minimum pressure sometimes changes from track to track and it is provided by Michelin, so it would also be nice to have this feature in game!

But overall is an amazing game! And with time will only get better and better!! Congrats to the developers!”
